I don’t know if mine can even be updated. Even FCA can’t figure out what I have. They told me to go to the dealer 🤷🏻‍♂️

I hope we are able to update. I have a 2019 with the 8.4 and spent a while trying to get the 12" update installed before realizing the problem. I havent been able to find an update anywhere.

I need this as well. I am located in Germany and do not receive over the air updates. The uConnect site says my VIN is up to date, but I have not been in the US for 3 years. My software version is 18.23.29.

Can anyone tell us what the current software version is? I keep checking the VIN website as well and it keeps saying the radio is up to date but I'd like to be sure, because of hoping for a fix for the excessive text and nav volume issue. Thanks.

Got this from RamCares... have to go to a dealer for the update though. Even though the VIN site says there are no updates available, my truck does not have this update.

Ok, here's my story. This is a good one....

Got a windshield ding in my '21 1500 Big Horn the other day. National glass company mobile unit shows up yesterday to attempt the spot-fix. Warns me in advance it might not work - it does not and makes it worse while the dude is here. We call his office to set up the full replacement. He tells me the truck has rain-sensitive wipers. I say it doesn't. He says it does. I say I've had the truck for 2 years and it doesn't. He shows me the sensor-eye in the windshield. I feel stupid. He orders the glass, sets up the replacement appointment and leaves. I spend the next 2 hours and more time yesterday looking in my manuals, online, etc. Finally find the Mopar video on YouTube showing where and how to turn this feature on. I go through the step-by-step instructions and when I get to the spot in Uconnect where the control SHOULD be to turn on rain-sensitive wipers - nothing. The option is nowhere to be found. Ain't in the software for my truck. I take it to the dealer this afternoon. And the knuckledragger "Service Advisor" cannot get in his head what I am explaining. Tells me they have to take the truck and do a full diagnosis on it to determine why it's not working. I tell him - there is no software in the vehicle that recognizes there is even a sensor-eye to turn on. I get the blank stare. (Yes, I checked the Uconnect website with my VIN for any updates - it says I am current.) Anyone ever have this happen? IS there an update file that Mopar's website is not aware of? How can I check what version I AM running? ANy and all help and comments welcome! Thanks!

I don't have rain sensing wipers, but any time I put my VIN on the uconnect site, it says my software is current. I don't believe that it is updated. I spoke to a uconnect specialists, only to be told i'd have to take my truck in to the dealer for them to look at it. I just never did because everything is working.

I was able to send a direct message to @RamCares on this site, they were able to talk me through identifying the current software that I had, and were able to point out that it was not the most recent version in spite of what the VIN website said. I did go to the dealer and spend $150 for the update, but the update did not fix my problem of incoming text volume. RamCares claims they have elevated my case to the Uconnect group, we will see if anything happens from there.

Good luck. I was told to go to the dealer too. I got nowhere with the Uconnect specialist. I’m not paying for it either.

Can you add details about your truck in your signature?

You might have auto climate control without rain sensing wipers. The sensor is in the same place. You can replace the sensor for one that will enable both dual climate control and rain sensing wipers. See this thread:
