Dealership sent us title in the mail.....

So a week before I got my Ram we bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee for my wife. We had a trade in and got a loan for the Jeep.

Yesterday in the mail we get an envelope from the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles and I open it and it's a Blue Texas Certificate of Title for the Jeep. It shows the previous owner is the dealership and the owner is my wife and I. Nothing about the bank the loan is through.

out of all the vehicles I have bought over the years, and the ones we have bought together, we have never received a title until it is paid off.

am I missing something or did we just get a free jeep? haha

Just sounds like a paperwork glitch. Give the dealer a buzz, they’ll fix it. Trust me, the bank still wants their money!

My bride and I had the same thing happen a few years back when we bought an Infiniti. We were like “he!! Yeah”!! But we still had payments on it. Called the dealership and somebody messed up.
