So I took my 2020 Ram Big Horn in for an issue with a warped trim on the front windshield defroster (and leaking 3rd brake light). The trim is warped, causing it to pop up about and 1/8" or so. Dealer previously ordered the replacement part, claims to have replaced it today. I picked up my truck, the issue is still there, in the exact same spot. Doesn't look like they replaced a thing yet claimed they did... I spoke to the service advisor and he said to"just turn on the defroster and heat it up", said it should pop back in....Well it didn't. He also mentioned that the only other option would be to replace the dash (are you kidding me?) and that Chrysler would not approve the repair. My response to him was, this is under warranty, I have 1600 mileage. fix it.

Anyone have experience with a dealer claiming they fixed something but didn't?

I’m going back in for a rear window trim piece tomorrow that they say they replaced but it looks exactly the same. Warped off of the window, not flush like the others.

Hi,
We’re sorry to hear about this. We certainly understand how frustrating this may be. Please let us know via private message if you decide to have your dealer look into this again, as we would like to have this documented and have a case escalated in your behalf so a Case Specialist can work with your dealer to help find a potential solution.

Update: took my truck in today to get a 2nd new piece installed. Service advisor said the new piece snapped right in and that the original replacement must have been defective too.
Funny how he said the new one snapped in because they left glue residue all over my dash. I didn’t notice it at first because of the lighting (it’s cloudy and raining outside) but once it cleared, you can easily see it. Back to the dealership we go.... This is never going to end.....
