So my drivers side rear shock removed itself from the lower mount. Seriously no ideal what caused this there is no damage to the black plastic shroud. Shaft is bent and it appears the shaft rolled out of the mount and pulled all the threads out . Dealer laughed at me when I took it in to get repaired. They said no way in hell would that be a warranty issue and accused me of abusing my truck ,I have a trip to the desert coming up family vacation so I said screw it and just bought another one any else have this issue?

Dang! If it just "fell out" during normal driving I'd be fighting for warranty.

We see similar damage on large cyclinders at work when the pivot point siezes up. We snap 3" shafts right where they go into the Clevis joint.
I'm looking at the damage to the lower mount and wondering if a rock got between it and the mount and jammed it from pivoting.
Or is that from when you removed it from the truck?

Typical dealer response. The lower locking bolt for the shock threads must have come loose and popped out or it was weak threads, then the shock went to full extension and dragged along the ground for a few miles, lucky it didn't kick sideways into the tire and have a rear blowout

Wow that's some carnage. Not sure how you're going to get them to foot the bill on that. Maybe open a @RamCares case and push on them for help? I doubt this will be something they have parts laying around for also so it might be a couple months or more.
