Back Up Camera Issues

I have a 2019 Sport and have been experiencing intermittent issues with my back up (and forward facing) camera.

Because the issue does not happen all the time, I know when I take it to the dealer they will say "tested, and was found to be fine".

I have attached a few pictures I have taken of the screen and am wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue or can suggest a solution?

Mine does this generally when the temperature approaches -10 Celsius and colder. I took my truck to the dealer for this and other issues toward the end of last winter and the service advisor told me apparently it’s a known issue and Ram was working on a software update but hadn’t released it yet. I have not yet taken it back to the dealer so I don’t know if the update is live now.

Mine does the same thing when temp is under 35 degrees. If you turn the truck on and off it resolves but is definitely frustrating.

According to my Dealer they did the software update on last Friday (24 Jan) and my screen did this again yesterday morning (27 Jan) when it was 21 F outside... But now I do have the center dashed line on the backup camera as well as my Lane Departure warning actually shows the truck moving over to the line on the dash.

Take a video to show the service manager...I was having the same issues and they ended up giving me an entire new radio even though the camera was the only issue...supposedly they are a pain to get approved so my truck was at the dealer for about two weeks waiting to complete the repair.

Take a video to show the service manager...I was having the same issues and they ended up giving me an entire new radio even though the camera was the only issue...supposedly they are a pain to get approved so my truck was at the dealer for about two weeks waiting to complete the repair.

Have you had the issue since? Has it been below 25 degrees since you had it replaced?

When I went to make the appointment I showed the advisor the pictures and was only asked "will it do it right now?" and when I said likely not, the response was... "probably not much we can do then"....

It happened again this morning...

Get a video of it and create a case with Ram Cares...they will help you out dealing with the dealership

Mine stopped working this afternoon. Was working fine this morning when I got to work. Blue screen.

Update:

Had service appointment today, dealership thinks the issue is the front camera. New one ordered, but currently back ordered... Ugh!

Not sure how this will fix the issue which also shows up on the rear camera...

Will have to wait and see...

Thanks for your suggestion, but Ram Cares does nothing for Canadian customers....

Mine does the same. Thought it was weird since my wife's 2015 Chrysler 200 (uConnect, camera quality seems the same) has never did it.

Nope. Mine still does it when it's cold (freezing or below). I've never mentioned it to the dealer though.

I had them do a flash for the 12 inch that was listed as a fix but didn’t work. Exhaust is leaking now and ground straps are disintegrating. Dash is bubbling
