Curious to what tire pressure everyone is running in aftermarket mud or all terrain tires. What tire size, PSI, and the quality of the ride.

Great thread, I am curious as well. I have 35 x 12.5 AMP all terrains running 40 lb of air. Ride seems to be very good to me considering, not much different than stock. The tires are 10 ply as well.

Running 275/60/20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers at 39lbs. Comfortable ride and comparable to the stock Bridgestone H/L Alenza's that were stock imo.

Did you recalibrate for your change in tire size? If so, what tire size did you put in? Im getting these installed today and need to measure them post install to input into my Hypertech unit.

No I didn't. The speedometer will be off 1 - 2 mph from 30 - 70 mph due to the extra 1" in height so I am fine without making the adjustment. Let me know how you like them.

Just left the shop and drove about 30 miles and I love the tires! A slight noticeable hum at 60+mph but it’s totally worth it. I ended up setting the tire pressure at 39psi and it feels a lot better than the 32 that the shop had set them at.

Also, regarding speedo recalibration, I measured the tire to be 32.15” after they were compressed so I set the programmer at 32” even and the speedo is pretty much perfect on gps now.

If you're looking merely to set pressure for ride quality just find what rides the best for you. If you do a lot of hauling or towing and want to make sure you have the correct PSI to match the load rating for the original tires, There are charts that are provided by the tire manufactures to determine this. Toyo I know for sure offers one. These trucks pretty much have a load rating of 2500 lb per tire at 35 PSI. For most load E tires this translates to about 42 PSI.

I’ll take another picture when I’m not in the parking garage but I really like the way these look.

They do look good, I keep going back and forth between a 275 60 20 and 305 55 20. The price difference is significant. Could you get a direct front and rear shot of them. I slapped a set of 33x12.50s on that i had laying around and like the way they look but the load range F on them rides terrible and I want to get a set of 4 plys.

I still haven’t been able to get a good rear pic because I’ve been getting in before and leaving work after its dark...I will this weekend though!

I bet the F load range is a brutal ride! I feel like the XL load range is perfect for a half-ton truck and the per corner weight didn’t go up much from the stock Falken A/T’s. The RG’s only weigh only 48 lbs /tire, so I expect my gas mileage to be the same.

Thanks, they look really good, not too narrow at all. I had the 33's on my last truck, They are a way too stiff, I don't remember them being as loud as they are either. Probably because the Ram is so quiet in stock form the tire noise from them was a surprise, I love the look of the RG's but find myself leaning towards the G2's which I have had in the past as well and while not as aggressive looking as the RG's they are much quieter. Although I don't have any experience with narrower 4 PLY RG's, I'm sure they are probably quieter than the 12.50 wide because of the tread block spacing.

Toyo RT 35x12.50r20
Shop inflated at 36 PSI rode nice but never held 8th gear. 12-13 mpg.. Pumped up 52 psi front 50 psi rear hold 8th like stock 17-18 mpg Freeway. Speedo and odometer not calibrated reading read 60 at 65 mph and 10% less on odometer.

Your tire MFG should have a load rating chart. LT tires require more air than the passenger tires put on our half ton trucks stock and what then translates to the pressure on the door panel. What is important is the load rating of your stock tire at the sticker pressure.

The LT chart for your tire will tell you the minimum pressure you need to achieve the equivalent load rating.

I run Copper 300/55r20 at about 50. That is equal to or better the load rating of the stock Bridgestone at 36. If I run my LT tire at 36 it is under load rating and wears horribly. I know this first hand since I bought a used truck with these tires and they ran the door pressure. Tires wore poorly and technically were not capable of carrying any load or tow at the cross referenced load for 36.

MPG is about the same as the stock tire which was 14.8 4x4 eTorque 3.21. 3k miles on both tires. Same.
