Wanted to share that I was able to fit a Cooper AT3 Xlt 295/70/18 on a Rebel rim under my Laramie.
it was super tight and I ended up letting some air out to get it seated.
I didn't want to have to carry a spare in the bed so this worked out well.

It fits and doesn't look like it will hit the rear trackbar. Will put some miles on it to be sure.
These Cooper tires run small. Not sure a Wildpeak or other "truer" to size tire of the same size would fit under there.
You could modify the heat shields but the hitch and trackbar appear to be the limiting factors.

Hopefully this is helpful to someone else looking to get the largest spare underneath

Hey @pjz just wanted to check in and see if you've had any issues with this - I'm about to pull the trigger on the same thing and wanted to see what your long-term driveability has been with this. Thanks for letting us know!

I was able to fit a 285/75r18 as a spare under a 6'4" bed. Tight fit but doable.

Old thread, but wanted to update. I had discount tire test fit a brand new 285/75r18 at 34.7”. It was about a quarter inch too large to fit. We had to tilt it to clear the sway bar and then it got stuck on the hitch. I opted for back ordering 295/70r18 which come in at 34.3”. I’m dead set on a full size spare though.

So sorry for the very late reply @TacticalCucumber I did not see the alerts for the thread posts.

No issues at all long term with the spare under there. I am rotating it in to the mix for more miles out of the tires. When I took it out last time I drilled out the heat shield mounting holes for more room. Gave me a tiny bit more space, but it now goes up in there fully aired up.

We tow a 21' travel trailer and I like the peace of mind of having a matching spare when we are on trips. Dont want to be spending time hunting for a tire in the middle of nowhere.
