Good evening,

I was wondering if anyone was having issues with the UConnect 5. The issue I am having is that in the audio settings under the volume section it will not save any of my settings. Every time I turn the truck off it reset them back to factory. UConnect states this is what it is supposed to do but I am blown away that it will not save the settings.

This happens to be the answer Google AI gives and so do other search results. I woud tell U connect they are full of crap and head to the dealer to start a paper trail

If your 2025 Uconnect audio settings under the volume section are not saving and reset to factory settings every time you turn off the truck, despite Uconnect stating it's "normal," there might be a software glitch or a misunderstanding about how the system is designed; it's likely not intended behavior and you should contact your dealer to investigate further; they can check for software updates or potential issues with your specific Uconnect configuration.

Here are a few things to consider:
  • Check for software updates:
The first step is to ensure your Uconnect system has the latest software updates installed. Your dealer can perform this check and update if necessary.
  • Clarify what "normal" means:
While some minor variations in audio settings might be expected depending on the vehicle's power state, a complete reset to factory settings every time you turn off the car is not usually considered "normal" and should be investigated.
    • Specific settings not saving: There might be a bug in the system where certain audio settings within the volume section are not designed to be saved across power cycles.
    • User error: Double-check that you are properly navigating to the correct settings menu and saving changes correctly.
    • Hardware issue: In rare cases, a faulty component in the infotainment system could be causing the issue.

What to do:
  • Contact your dealer:
Explain the problem you're experiencing and ask them to diagnose the issue. They can check for software updates, investigate potential configuration problems, and if necessary, contact technical support from the manufacturer.
  • Provide details:
When contacting your dealer, be sure to mention the specific audio settings that are not saving, and if possible, replicate the issue in front of them to demonstrate the problem clearly.

Thank you LRRP71 for the information. I have been to the dealership twice now. They stated the same thing as UConnect did. I have tried the software update plus the hard reboot and still not saving the settings. My wife has the UConnect 5 her 2023 Jeep with no issues. I am going to call Mopar tomorrow to get more help.

Your welcome not that I gave you any real advice, just what Google says. But I hope you get more satisfaction then I am having with my problem. At my age I thought this would be my last vehicle. I am so pissed I put in for a quote to Carvana. They will give me 32k for a 2020 1500 bighorn with 12,575 miles. Not enough but Im about to get rid of it. I dont use it for towing my 35 ft kodiak trailer anymore, or hauling like I use too. I will buy a fully loaded 2025 Subaru outback limited or touring version. for what they are willing to give me. Maybe have to add 5k to the deal. I am fed up with Dodge and Ram. I have owned 5 of them from the 72 Ram W100, to this 2020. My 2011 Quad Cab and 6ft bed, seemed to be the last good one since the Ram name went on. IMHO they are on a downward sprial. Yet I had a 88/89 legacy outback that only needed the rear main seal changed and I drove that till it got t-boned. I was the 3rd owner. I know apples to orange's. Still for the money being paid for a RAM, Ford or any other vehicle in the $60k to over $160K you would expect way better quality assurance. Let alone Service when problems pop up instead of excuses.
