Well guys, as of yesterday, after getting an amazing deal at the end of year as dealers want to move vehicles, and being able to use all of my GM Rewards Points along with a Costco Rebate, I purchased a loaded 2023 Chevy Silverado ZR2 with a factory 2" lift, 33" tires, and the infamous Multimatic DSSV shocks. I did a bunch of mods, as many of you have seen through my postings over the years, and I enjoyed each one. One day, I may come back to a RAM, but I had to use up all of my GM Rewards points and decided to just go all-in on this Four Wheeler Truck of the Year. I will continue to participate on this forum and support it as well. I hope you all have a very Happy and Safe New Year my friends and may 2023 treat us, and our families, well. God Bless and thanks to the many of you that have followed me and that I was able to help with several issues, especially your electronic toy installs:)

Enjoy! I don’t envy you trying to keep black paint shiny on an off-reader 😉

Congrats on your new truck! There are some aspects of your truck I really like. I used to be a Chevy/GMC guy until they lost me in 2007. Then the 2014 redesign pushed me farther away LOL. This latest generation 1500 is getting better, but I just can't get over that front end. :p

That's a great truck, the only other one on the market in the non-dinosaur class that would drag me away from my RAM.

It is the perfect go-between the Rebels & Trail Bosses and Raptors & TRXs. Standard width body but with active suspension, front & rear lockers and much improved interior (now best in class?)

Congratulations!

Beautiful truck. Hopefully you won't have the 6.2 engine issues or transfer case issues that people talk about online all the time.

Thanks...I've had two 6.2's and never had an issue. If I do, that's what a warranty is for. Plus, I only keep trucks for 2 years at most so we'll see what's next on the list...maybe another RAM after the next full redesign;)

You move more often than I do :)

The mid-cycle for the RAM is the 2024 model year, probably not enough changes to bring you back to RAM. I suspect the 2027 or 2028 will be the redesign model year, right in time for EV only lol.

Agreed. I just get bored much sooner than most and I like to drive new toys with the latest and greatest electronic gizmos. It's a disease

I’ve been curious - Is it even fair to compare the suspension to one another? I had my eye on the new GMC Denali but not if the GM suspension matches up to the Ram (I drive A LOT) - at the same time I’m curious what the repair/replacement cost of Ram air suspension compared to the new GM design is.

That Denali is one SWEET truck! If I wasn’t looking for something sporty and off road, I would have bought the Denali Ultimate.

Yeah, I like the redesign.

How would you compare your current suspension to your Ram? Do you have to put some more miles on it to be able to compare or is it like apples to oranges?
