Just curious if anybody else had any issues with air suspension on their 2021 Ram? Bought mine with 69mi one day and next morning noticed the driver side front pretty much 3.75 “ from top of wheel/tire to body. Pretty much sitting on bump stops. Soon as you unlock it, or start it the compressor kicks in and raises up to normal height 94F671F3-BFC2-4F11-8345-E7E19F82F404.jpeg A6C6A434-2373-4307-A3EF-65EFC02F37A4.jpeg No air leak (well that’s what dealer told me) no codes came up and no lights on dashboard. They are thinking it’s the module (valve sticking) so waiting to see if that fixes it. Been sitting at the shop for a week now, barely got to drive it so a bit frustrated but it is what it is. Just curious is anyone else had this issue.

That is rough. I have a 2020 Limited with air suspension. Have not had any issues. I hope they fix your issue ASAP! Keep us updated.

Hmm...sounds like a pinhole leak, even if they're telling you it's not. Good luck! I've not seen anyone report this issue (and no issues on my 2019).

If the rear went down overly low that might look cool...

In all seriousness, that is not right. It should stay at the level you left it in last when shut off (i.e. i leave mine in OR2 with running boards down to prevent door dings and it does not lower).

PM RamCares, maybe they can put some pressure on them or at least give you more insight.

Haven’t seen this issue come up here on the board, and no issues with mine in 2 1/2 years.

I was tracking the measurements and it goes down about 1.75 every 6 hours. So it takes awhile. But, that’s what the dealership said, if air leak then there has to be a code. It’s rare they told me as well, but ordered the part and it’s on back order, which tells me maybe I’m not the only one with this issue. Hopefully part comes in tomorrow, I’ll keep you all updated.

Hi @Ram_Night, we are very sorry to hear that you are facing this concern with your new Ram- much less this soon! Please be sure to keep us posted on your dealer visit. We would be more than willing to escalate a case on your behalf to a specialist for further support in obtaining this part order sooner. I guess it’s time for an update. The part’s ETA is sometime in January although I can’t get a concrete answer. I have been working with Chrysler, the dealership that sold me the truck and the dealership that is doing the maintenance, but even though they agree that I have been sold a truck with an issue, no one wants to take accountability and ownership of the issue and are not willing to work with me to make my situation easier. Chrysler saying I need to work it out with the dealership and the dealership saying I need to work it out with Chrysler. I need a truck for work but they gave me a Jeep as a rental. I am ending up hiring other people to haul and bring material to project sites costing me additional dollars. They say they can’t rent me a truck nor they want to offer me anything else as a recompense for my troubles. There I have it, an award winning $72k truck with 270mi on it but with no customer support. Maybe I should pursue a refund and just get another truck?

Demand a pickup truck from repairing dealer. They need to replace the vehicle with "like kind" or something comparable. I got a 30k bighorn to replace my 60k limited but in the end I got a truck.

Did you PM @RamCares?

I tried to get a truck, the dealership repairing say they are trying to work out getting me a truck but it’s been a week already and no truck on horizon. I tried getting a truck from Chrysler but they said they were not able to “authorize” me a truck. I don’t know, it’s a mess...

And I did PM RamCares, they said I already had a case with Chrysler so just work with the case manager. Which I did and all they were able to do is say that the part might be available in January.

My 202 Limited is flawless and smart. If you have a trailer hitched up, set the jack, unhitch it THEN pull the waring harness. Within about 30 seconds the rear suspension will lower, just drive forward as the ball has dropped about 2-3".

Man I feel you so bad. I had an issue with the ascm and dealer and chrysler bounced the ball between them like a hot potato. Like I always told my dealer, i bought a truck from you. don’t care if its your fault or fca fault, fix it and after go fight fca.

How is the dealership remotely responsible for a brand new vehicle with a defect? What could be FCA's reasoning to make the dealership pay for this? Because it was not caught on initial inspection? Depending on how often it was run, where it was parked, etc they may not have seen this.

I agree they might have never been aware of the issue. But it’s like everything else you buy, if there is a defect or an issue with an item, typically you can go and get a refund. I agree that Chrysler should be the one responsible as they have missed this in their quality control inspection. But I would expect the dealership to work it out with Chrysler, or at least provide some assistance. As a consumer, I am ending up covering the costs incurred for Chrysler’s screw up. I just don’t think that’s fair. As of today, I still didn’t get a rental truck, and mine is still at the shop.

I have noticed that if it is in the action of lowering or raising and you open a door that the action stops and sometimes does not restart until I reopen and close a door. Happens if I open the tailgate as well. Probably a safety feature.

I had air suspension on my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the one feature I liked on it was that when I parked it automatically went to entry/exit mode/level. The truck does not.

I know I am in the minority, and perhaps a little simple minded, but the OP gave zero dollars to FCA and 100% to the dealer, even if it was financed through FCA. I know what I am going to say is somewhat unrealistic, but If I buy a Samsung TV from Walmart and have a warranty issue Walmart should handle it, not repair it, but deal with the warranty hassle, as should the dealership whom bought it from FCA and resold it to the OP.
