I run what the door sticker says until I switch out the factory tires. Then it depends on which tires I upgrade to. I'm assuming you're asking about tire pressures for highway/street use, and not off-road use. Because for off-road there are more variables involved.

I think 36 is a bit low for such a heavy truck lol
And yea obviously for off-roading you air down for more traction

On the back tires too?
Yep. I don’t haul heavy or tow more than a 6x12 a with small utility tractor, so I haven’t felt the need for increasing. I do now have LT tires and am running 70 front/65 rear.

My rebel (275/70r18 tires) door sticker says 55psi...lol.

Busted out laughing because I thought it was really high on purpose from the dealer. I dropped it down to 40psi and I got the low tire pressure light. Had to put them back up to 55psi.

Crazy part...Duratrac tires can have max pressure of 80psi

I can run mine about 5 psi below the recommended pressure without getting the light to come on. Mainly do it in summer months for a bit smoother ride.

That’s a max pressure for seating the tire. Not what you can run them at.

The psi rating varies based on the load range and ply of the tire.

I keep my Defenders in the low to mid 30's. Even just 40 psi in the rear, unloaded, causes zero tire deflection and a tiny contact patch with noticeable wear in the center after
