5thGenRams has just received inside information from one of our Canadian sources about the production plan for the 2019 Ram 1500 pickups.
As we previously mentioned, current “DS” Ram 1500 will continue to be built at Warren Truck as well as Saltillo truck into the 2019 model year. These will be called the Ram Classic and will be available in ST, Tradesman, Express and SLT trims with carryover powertrains. Being this is from a Canadian source, trim levels could vary by country.
The all new 2019 Ram 1500 “DT” has been in production at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant since January as we had previously mentioned. Production of the all new 2019 Ram 1500s will follow a slow ramp up by producing only certain models and options until the plant reaches full production volume at the end of the second quarter of 2018.
