The EPA has finally released MPG numbers for the eTorque Pentastar

Today the EPA released the MPG numbers for the 2019 Ram 1500 equipped with the V6. The Pentastar has been upgraded for 2019 and has the addition of FCAs new eTorque mild hybrid technology as standard.

The 4WD V6 is rated at 19 MPG city 24 MPG highway and 21 MPG combined, while the 2WD is rated at 20 MPG city 25 MPG highway and 22 MPG combined.

This represents an improvement of 3 MPG city and 2 MPG combined on 2WD trucks compared to the outgoing 2018 Ram 1500 equipped with the Pentastar V6, while 4WD trucks see an improvement of 3 MPG city, 2 MPG combined and 1 MPG highway.

Why there is a 1 MPG improvement on the highway for the 4WD trucks and not the 2WD trucks I am not sure.
