2014 Dodge ram 1500 cargo light won't stay on

About 6 months ago I installed led pods under my bed rails, and wired it up to the wire that runs the cargo light. Tonight I noticed they wouldn't turn on: all fuses are good, but the lights flash for a moment when I unlock the truck, or when I turn them on at the cargo light switch in the cab. Anyone have any ideas to what the issue is?

Did you ever figure this out? I had the exact thing happen to me and hoping to find the solution without the rabbit hole path.
