I still can't get over the improvements on these 5th Gen Rams... just so happy.

Two little surprises that I always wanted on my 16' and never understood why they wouldn't be standard have magically appeared on my new truck...

1 - The new tailgate latch... IT'S PASSIVE ENTRY ENABLED! Sweet jahosifat is that a nice feature that is long over due! The only thing better would be hands-free... but then some fool would get a tailgate in the knee and class-action FCA up the yingyang. Passive entry will do just fine!

2 - The rear camera. Always thought there was a lot of wasted opportunity back there... fast forward to the 5th Gen... BOOM, zoom function! Getting close to the trailer... and... zoom! Perfect!

3 - Not a surprise... but that Sport hood is almost as good as Viagra. Man alive does it feel cool as hell driving behind that hood! GRrrrrrrrr baby!

- end over-joyed rant -

Right there with you on the sport hood! I wanted an off road package In the fire red, I saw a fire red with off road and sport group when I was searching but had never seen one. The dealer said they had just took it off the delivery truck and I should come take a look. I think I actually peed a little bit when I first saw it... Just absolutely love driving this thing.

I’d be happy to have that zoom function. That is slick.

On the backup camera Ford has black dotted lines that line up with the hitch and move when you steer which really help to line up trailer. That would be an easy software update for RAM.

That's what Ram added the middle white line for. You don't have the middle white line?

Forgive me for the really dumb question, but first full size truck. What does passive entry enabled mean on the tailgate latch??

It locks and unlocks with the truck. So you can just walk up (with a fob on your person) and it’ll unlock for you.
Exactly, my 16' I had to dig in my pocket or stick my hand in a front door handle to release the tailgate, now they've included it in the passive release system by including a soft sensor tailgate handle! Brilliant!

They are features depending on the trim level in prior years. My 2014 Big Horn did have this feature as now my 19 has. I think what I pressed me more now, lol, is that my 19 has a sunglasses holder on the ceiling. Always bugged me that my 14 didn’t have that.

So that's obviously a 12" screen, but my 8.4nav has the exact same lines and zoom function. There are options to add or remove the lines... check if that's something you have.

I just tried to turn Guide Lines off and back on. All it did was remove the colors outer lines. I have no center line.

I will try to factory reset mine, and see if it helps. I'll report back

I, too have no center line. Went through every setting in the menu and did a few more things in attempt to activate it. Seems like it would be included in the "guidance lines." I want it! Does it have something to do with the 12" screen? Anybody with 12" UConnect have the center line?
