“Uconnect box update”

Just got a pop up for a uconnect box update, says it’ll take 5 minutes. Didn’t say what it was for or any other details. Will post version numbers when it’s done.

I got exactly the same update message two days ago. Didn’t find a new firmware or map version. So, don’t know what this is about. I’m on S24.13 as well.

Same thing happened to me, also up in Canada. Whatever the update did it didn’t fix anything.

I know they locked us on the S24 firmware. I wonder if that update is unlocking it.

I tried to use more current firmware and my radio completely rejected the update that everyone else used, and Ramcares said they were not offering a newer version

That’s the radio software version you are looking at. You received a Uconnect box update, which is the telematics box that is separate from the radio module, and it receives its own OTA updates via the radio.

I got this same "uconnect box" update a week ago, and I was also confused because none of the version numbers I could find changed. I guess we were supposed to know it was a different kind of update because of the word "box" in the alert message? Sheesh. This was the first OTA update I have received since I bought the truck in April. I've upgraded to S24.13 and later S26.15 via USB, but this was the first OTA update my truck ever received. I see in another thread that there is a new version out S26.17. I guess 26.17 fixes the one minor bug that prevented S26.15 from being generally available, but that's just a guess.

Uconnect 5 is much better but…

maybe cause the headquaters of Stellantis is in Europe. I at least have a qwerty layout but you can probably adjust it in the settings https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stellantis Thanks Liquid Li0n: I was able to locate the QWERTY Keyboard deep in the settings. Seems the Factory would default...

Page 5, just posted today.

Page 5 is from December 10th 2021 to January 3rd 2022. Looks like there is somethign on page 13 about it.
Would be nice if the search feature on the forums actually worked. If I search for S26.17 or 26.17 nothing comes up, not even this post.
