It's been too long ... Tinkering bug bit me - Exhaust on 2019 Ram 1500

Howdy Folks. I was here a lot when I first bought my 5th Gen back in 2019. Coming from the GM world, other than Ram SRT-10 that I owned, this site was both helpful and entertaining. I've made some slight mods to my Lone Star along the way, and finally pulled the trigger on an exhaust change...

Avoiding the 'mods' bug ... As best I can at least!

First of all, the info I get from this forum is fantastic ... Thank you all. The only hazard is the "hmmm, I might do that too" feeling when I see something I like. I've not done any major mods to my Ram in the first year of ownership, nor do I really plan to. But my wife called me out when I...

Who's the guy taking a pic of his own RAM at the Service department?

Okay, it's me. I'm that guy - Guilty! I've had this truck for nearly a year, and still take frequent random pictures of it. This was leaving the dealership after my Ram Cares oil / filter / rotation freebie. My first Ram was an '05 SRT-10 Quad Cab. I'm pretty sure I have more pictures on this...

I know it's simple math ... But gotta like the range

I took my first long road trip last week ... Drove from Houston, TX to Springfield, MO to visit my daughter and grandson. I normally fly, but thought a RAM trip would do the trick. I couldn't have been more pleased with the truck! That it was knocking down 23 MPG with the 3.92 rear didn't hurt...

Anyone else with Blind Spot / Cross Path Detection not functional?

Hey Folks. Still loving my new Ram after ~ 2 months. The only thing I'm not loving is multiple trips (4 and counting) to Service to get Blind Spot / Cross Path functional. It's done nothing since I bought the truck, other than show this on my cluster; pic attached. Ironically it's the one...

IHertz rental last week @ SFO = 2019 Ram Classic (Hemi)

As a new Ram owner, imagine my delight when I walked into the Gold area at Hertz in San Francisco earlier this week and saw this > 2019 Ram Classic 4x4 with the 5.7 Hemi ... Standing out proudly in a sea of the usual intermediate sedans. No contest! I had no idea you could get a Ram at Hertz...

Geeking about the range - Week of firsts in the Ram

I know it's just simple math, but seeing an estimated range of 660 miles is still pretty cool. I took my first road trip in the new Ram this week; Houston to Dallas and back. Wouldn't need to refuel if you timed it right. I still had to make restroom stops though. Wait, TMI? The truck was...

Used my new Ram as a truck ...

Admittedly I don't ask much of the 'truck' portion of pickups. But after never using my SRT-10 as a truck, I thought I'd break this one in with a proper outing. I wasn't expecting it to struggle, but I couldn't even tell the 1,100 pounds of rock was there. And yes, I know you don't need blankets...

Almost a week in my new Lone Star

It will be a week on Monday that I've had my new Ram. My last one was an SRT-10 Quad Cab, and this slightly tamer 2019 growl is fine by me. The whole family really likes the truck. I do need the sun to come out so I can show my wife that Maximum Steel contains blue. I had the spray-in bed liner...

Back in a Ram ... 2019 Lone Star

Hey Folks. I'm not new to FCA or Dodge, but new to this forum and this truck. My last Ram was a 2005 SRT-10 Quad Cab ... So I may be the guy saying what great MPG the 2019 Ram 1500 gets! I picked this up on Monday, couldn't be happier with it. Even my wife was impressed with this truck - And...
