    Tried to order a ram

Well, I built a bighorn online and sent it to a dealer who advertised fairly low prices. Net online price was $47K which included the incentives ram has listed on the build site. He quoted me at the same online price of $47K and wouldn’t give anything less. He said it’s more expensive for ram to...

North edition vs sport + orp

I’m looking to get A 1500 with color matched bumpers with the e-locker and bucket seats. The two ways I found I can get this is either the north edition and selecting bucket seats, or select the sport package and the off-road group. Is there a benefit of having one over the other? I live in CA.

Question for those who ordered their 1500’s

After looking nationwide, I can’t find the truck I’m looking for, for the price I want. Pre-Covid I could find this truck on autotrader or cars app for around $40K (give or take) but am having no luck now. If I were to order this as a 2021, it seems way over my budget of $40K (listed on the ram...

    Used prices

With today’s market, used rams are low in stock and priced higher than normal. I found a used ram 1500 CC with sport package, ORG, level 2 and premium lighting. MSRP $53,000. Dealer is asking $41,500. Given today’s market is this a fair price? I offered $37,000 + taxes and licensing and dealer...

    Negotiating a used ram 2019

I found a 2019 1500 With 17K miles listed In a neighboring state. It is a certified pre-owned with a 7 year/100,000 mile warranty with the following options... Crew cab standard box, white. 4x4 with the ORP Sport appearance Level 2 equipment Tow package Dual pane Pano roof They have it...

    Gearing and tire size

Based off the numerous threads I’ve read regarding gearing, 3.21 will yield better fuel economy than the 3.92 assuming all is kept stock. If I were to put on a level and 33” AT tires (maybe wildpeaks or similar), would 3.21 gearing still be the way to go? I know these tires are only an inch...

    Bumpershellz?

Does anyone know if these are available for 5th gen rams? I emailed the company and haven’t heard anything back. For those who don’t know, they are color matched or black covers for your bumper and secure with 3M tape. They cover the chrome. They can give the appearance of the sport package

    Negotiating add ons with dealer

So I’ve got an OTD price on a bighorn CC from a dealer that prior to taxes and licensing is roughly 25% below msrp. I’m planning on calling him back today to go over the next steps of the purchase (this is my first new truck purchase). What add ons should I ask to throw in? Bed liner, and I’m...

    Does standard box affect MPG?

As the title states, does the standard box affect mpg over the short box? If so, by how much do you think?

Looking at this truck, good deal?

So I found almost exactly what I want in a truck a few states away, luckily I have family out that way which could make it easier to pick up. Anyways....They are asking $39K and some change for a new 2020 bighorn CC short bed with 4x4, 3.21 gears, off-road group with sport appearance package...

Difference between bighorn level 1 and 2?

So it seems on speedometer cluster is different, and there’s dual climate control. What else is added to the BH level 2? And is it worth it?

“Miles to empty” something to look out for?

I’m looking at big horns and came across a used 2019 CC with 5.7L etorque, level 2, 4x4 with anti spin and 23Gallon tank for $32K, one owner. The picture on the dash shows 3/4 tank of fuel, and the “miles to empty” meter shows 187 miles left...that seems like very few miles for 3/4 tank of...

    Incentives?

So I’ve been searching the last month every day on Cars.com and autotrader and it seems the last couple days all the prices went up several grand....I’m assuming they got rid of last months incentives and therefore the prices raised? I thought I heard new incentives are released on the 4th of...

    Adding E locker ?

I’ve been searching for a ram 1500 and can’t seem to find one that I like for the price I’m looking for that has all the options I want. This will be drivin 95% on road, and pretty slick mud off-road the rest of the time. To get the elocker it seems most vehicle are outfitted pretty heavily and...

Another “is this a good deal” thread?

‘19 Bighorn with CC short box. 5.7L Etorque. 4x4, anti-spin. Level 2 convenience, bucket seats, with 22K miles. I’d like to get body colored bumpers but can’t find a cheap sport package for cheap so I can always get them painted later seeing as how this seems like a lower cost than what I was...

    4WD lock?

So I was at the dealer today test driving a 2020 bighorn and came across I believe a 2017 or 18’ on the lot. The 4WD selector had 2WD, 4Auto, 4Lo, and 4Lock. Is 4wd lock a locking differential? As in both tires spin at the same speed regardless of slippage or lack thereof? Please dumb this...

Is the rear diff locker needed for mud?

During hunting season after the rains, the dirt/clay roads turn into an absolute mess and people drive off the levees and dikes all the time resulting in a $500 cash tow from a tractor. Some roads better than others, but I want to be well prepared if I start down a passable road and run into a...

    Ram 1500 vs 5.3L Sierra

I’ve narrowed by truck choices down between the new ram 1500 big horn with the 5.7 or the Sierra elevation with the 5.3. I test drove the Sierra and loved it, and it seemed to get good mpg on the dash. I haven’t had the chance to drive the ram. I’m mainly concerned with mpg...it seems like the...
