    Official Delmonico Red thread

It’s starting to look a little like my Vermont Edition. ...with different wheels. But I like how your wheels turned-out. Nice job! I still have a set of the original chrome Laramie 20’s with summer tires on them. Maybe I’ll try dipping them like you did. I wonder how long the dip will last on...

What did you do to your Ram today???

Ahhhh.... different animal, different exhaust ball game for the diesel. Sorry, I missed that part.

What did you do to your Ram today???

If you want to save hundreds, skip the Mopar middleman and install the Borla S exhaust. It is identical to the Mopar exhaust, since Borla makes it for Mopar... and, even better, the Borla kit includes new 5” tips (black or chrome) - whereas Mopar’s P/N Borla exhaust does not.

What did you do to your Ram today???

Not coming to a Dealer near you. What is it? Basically a Canadian Sport-ized Laramie, with darkened headlights, mirrors, back-up light, plus painted Mopar wheels and a Borla exhaust. Simple roll-up tonneau.

What did you do to your Ram today???

Yoh...’65’... how did you darken the tail lights? If it’s a Limited, you have the blind spot sensors (radar?) in the middle of the lights, yes? I’ve blackened my Laramie fully, except the too-red tail lights. - Gary

    Price negotiated from MSRP

Picture or no picture - looks like a good enough deal to me, for a fully loaded limited. Order it and enjoy it. And regardless what others say, the dealer can sell it for whatever price he wants. When times are real slow, the dealer can take the risks on the mfgr incentives. N normal times it is...

Difference in gas mileage between the 3.21 and 3.92?

My 2019 3.21 geared 1500 DT Laramie crew cab short bed Sport with the 5.7, 26 gal tank (less weight), no ETorque, no ride height adjustment, 18” Mopar wheels with A/T tires (stock diam.) and a cat back exhaust has averaged 17.3 mpg over its life (on the computer anyway) with not quite 12,000...

Difference in gas mileage between the 3.21 and 3.92?

Wanderer... you seem to be mired in justifying your choice of the 3.92 gear rear. That’s fine. Glad you like it. To each his own. We all tow different stuff at different frequencies, and maybe some want to get off the line quicker than others. However, I might be wrong, but I think the original...

What did you do to your Ram today???

Hey Dookie.... how did you get the dark twilights on a Laramie? I’d like to make/change mine to dark too. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Difference in gas mileage between the 3.21 and 3.92?

You must be rich, or bad at math. A dollar a day is $3650 over a 10 year life of the vehicle, in nominal dollars (although gas is ‘cheaper’ about now). With $3650 I could buy 10 face shields, a hundred masks, and maybe bribe a doctor for a 12-hour ventilator session. A 3.21 rear gear could save...

Difference in gas mileage between the 3.21 and 3.92?

There are many factors involved, yes, but one plain and simple fact (i.e. the truth): for normal driving, with two identical unmodified factory trucks with the 5.7: the 3.21 will get better gas mileage than a 3.92. Period. This is for the +90% of drivers who have the common mix of ‘in town’...

Forgot to ask about your running boards. Are they the Mopar off-road ones?

Short or long bed? How much $$ was the cap, installed? Looks nice. I want to get one too. Did you shop different brands? I had a Leer on my last truck. It was just OK. The rear latching mechanism wore-out too soon.

I did the same to my Delmonico sport Laramie - same painted wheels and black-out badging etc. the final touch I added was tinted-film head lights, side mirror lights, and high back-up lights. At some point I may try to change-out the rear lenses for the ones that have the center part dark. -...

MDS drone and vibration follow up

I just noticed the MDS vibration for the first time today. Felt it in my seat. Truck has almost 7k miles. However: here’s the weird thing: yesterday I filled-up with 89 octane for the 1st time (instead of the 87 I’ve been using). Today, the eco light started coming on for the first time! I...

    Walk-away locking?

Not sure you are aware, but there still are communities in America where we don’t lock our trucks! Heck, I’ve never even had a key to the house either. It’d drive the kids and friends and family nuts if they had to carry keys or ring the doorbell every time they came home or stopped by. If my...
