So I had the opportunity driving back from Palo Duro Canyon near Amarillo to test my mileage at various speeds.... For those who've never had the 'thrill' of the area, it's mostly flat, straight 2 lane asphalt roads that literally meet the horizon in both directions. It was early on a Sunday...
After about year and half I average 13.5 mpg in the city and 16.5 mpg on the highway. I'm pretty sure I could get better if I slowed down to the 'prime fuel efficiency speed range' of about 60 mph, but highways speeds here in my part of Texas are routinely 75-85 and I know I'm losing mpg because...
So about 2 weeks ago someone stole my front plate of my truck in my driveway! Whomever was both determined and polite since they had to purchase the security star wrenches to unscrew it. And then they put the screws back, which meant they had to be laying down in the street to reach behind the...
I just emptied mine and got about 4-6 oz as usual. Roughly equivalent to one of the little 2cycle engine additive cans. I do it every oil change. Usually the morning before so it's not so hot on the hands.
Driver side is all the commonly used items like work and rubber gloves, electric tools (because of the charger), mesh bed cover, rope, tie downs etc.
Passenger side is the emergency kit/ camping gear including coffee pot, rags, little dry snacks, survival kit, etc
Has anybody else had this issue?
I walked out of work talking to my boss on my cell and it transferred to the truck just like it should when I selected the 'connect bluetooth' on the screen after startup and I finished the conversation. NP right? Selected another number to call from the phone...
I've got about 6k miles and JUST noticed a little bit of liner overspray masquerading as road dirt on the passenger rear of the cab. It's pretty light, but runs through the white paint into the black stripe of the two-tone paint. Looks like someone didn't quite mask it properly. Before folks...
Added my Weathertech window visors today! Took about 20 minutes to do front an back! I did need to sit down and watch the Weathertech video on the rear windows just to make sure I was putting in the clips right and the back left didn't seem to want to fit exactly flush inside to the top. We'll...
I actually get better gas mileage on my commute work in rush hour at about 55-65 mph that I do on the long haul at 85+. West Texas speed limit is 75 for everyone who doesn't know, and traffic is usually moving at a speedy 84-86 for the most part. Occasional hops up to 95 is not unheard of to get...
I've done several shorter trip in the 2.5 hour range with the wife and I and 3 kids in the back. I can total confirm that the ride was exceptional and the ability to pass at 85 mph with no problem was VERY nice! I didn't get your 19, (more like 14) but it was still nice. We've got several long...
I'd REALLY like to see navigation like WAZE supported and brought up on the 12" screen. That and when I'm on a call, and the phone is plugged into the system, It won't let me enter things like my pin code for voice mail! I have to unplug the phone to put in my pin code.
Make something for 3rd...
I would add to the kit 2 of each size bolt as spares and a few lock washers to go with. Been contemplating this myself...
I would add: zip ties (the long ones) and some stainless pipe clamps for securing really hot objects.
