Odd combination of behaviors, unsettling I'm sure. If there's a silver lining, it's that problem codes are stored so your service techs will at least be able to read something. My voltage was back to normal and the CEL was gone by the time they got to it, but the code was still in there.
That...
Not sure, receipt just says warranty and I decided not to ask... given the details here from Zeigler I'm guessing the 8/80k Federal Emissions Warranty.
End of my story happily, Ram service department found the trouble code "P0A78-00 DRIVE MOTOR A INVERTER PERFORMANCE", which came back after clearing, and caused them to diagnose a failed motor generator (that big eTorque box on top of the engine, sort of a starter/alternator), Mopar #...
Deleting the off-topic argument; take a deep breath my fellow Ram forum members there is room in this world for both of your perspectives. Please remember we are here to share ideas about our trucks not tear them, or each other, down. 🍻 Now back to our regularly scheduled programming...
Yep I considered that possible system logic after seeing it going to full voltage again, don't know if that's exactly how eTorque is designed... but still don't know how the battery dropped so low in the first place if it was charging fine initially. Possibly pilot error of course, but no...
UPDATE: Still awaiting my service appt to troubleshoot the eTorque problem, so I charged the main battery overnight at home. Voltage looked good the next morning, so started her up. CEL is still on, but appears the eTorque system is now (maybe?) charging the main battery again (indicates 14.5...
Thanks. Long ago when I purchased the Ram warranty I was told explicitly in response to a direct question on the topic that eTorque WAS COVERED. There are old posts here with some of my communications. Sounds like they have pulled a fast one on me in the last couple years. Yet more evidence...
(EDIT: Fixed picture.) No solution sadly but a similar problem occurring here with eTorque. Had truck over two years w/14v+ while running, and no stop/start problems, BUT after shutting down and going in to the store today for 10 minutes, I started up to a low voltage light and CEL.
The...
Quick update here two years on now: though it sounds like the Revolver is working out for folks too I just wanted to mention how good my Sentry CT canvas top still looks. Functions well too. Was just checking it out the other day, the pics above are still valid. Nope I'm not affiliated, just...
I delayed my leather/heat upgrade so am still not certain, but that location is still my plan for a seat heat switch. Just need to find someone who has peeked inside that channel of the center console to make sure nothing is blocking the area. Someday...
Feel free to expand and improve on this thread and forum for the community, I just sat down one day and thought "I think we need something like this" same as you, then made this thing up. It's not my baby it's our baby! (y)
Yep you've got the impedance, sensitivity, volume relationship correct, A+ @sman301 ! Since I didn't have sensitivity ratings for the stock speakers it was hard to predict an exact volume match so some guessing/trial and error was required.
Once I installed the JL C2s all around, I achieved...
Ah gotcha. As I mentioned, I can't add more check boxes (website feature limitation) so had to select only the major systems of the truck for simplicity. I have now included a comment under "Body" to reflect problems with leaks in the cab, hopefully that makes sense and will work.
I was very happy with my Sentry CT canvas top's performance under the ice/snow. Of course you need to keep it cleared, and It was a little harder to roll when cold but I had no problems when I needed to get in the bed.
Well if you stick with four channels (and still run the fronts in parallel), regardless where your amplification comes from it would be advisable to balance the output of your door and dash speakers. Now if you go up to six channels you could set it all up to adjust their output separately and...
I wouldn't say you must if you listen at moderate volumes, but I don't... :D they are certainly a good idea if you don't want to blow those little speakers.
