MPG effect of 3.92 rear end

The Limited's air suspension lowering the truck on the highway and the less aggressive tires both help.

    3.21. vs 3.92 gear

That stock tire is around 32". Going to a 33.5 tire is not a huge change. Less than 5%. Go for it...if it fits without rubbing.

MPG effect of 3.92 rear end

That's my guess as well. Seems to be a 300 mile rolling average. To get an accurate estimate of a trip, reset the mpg average screen when you depart. People with the 3.92 need to understand that the Hemi has a sweet spot at 1800-2000 rpm. Running 80mph puts rpm up around 2200 and mileage drops...

    Air conditioning Hack

Any form of tint will raise the temperature of glass to some degree since tinting absorbs light energy creating heat. LowE is designed to reduce (not eliminate) the stress on glass by reflecting instead of absorbing some of the heat from direct sunlight. It is rare that tinting alone will cause...

    Air conditioning Hack

Tinting ABSORBS the energy from sunlight instead of reflecting it. It can cause the glass to get hotter and even burst a sunroof in some cases, as others mentioned. The insulation I used is reflective as well as being an insulator so my guess is that it blocks the heat better. A highly...

    33 gallon tank on a 2019 question

Same here. My max fill was around 28.5 gallons. This was with the fuel gauge bottomed out and the low fuel icon on. It kinda sucks not being able to reliably use at least 31 out of 33 gallons. Thats 50 miles of range "lost"....sort of.

    Air conditioning Hack

I cut a piece of the 1/4" thick foil insulation you buy at Lowes to the size of the panoramic sunroof and slide it in place when the summer heat finally arrives. With the shade closed it can't be seen. This lowers the radiated temperature into the cab tremendously. I could tell that my cab...

TAZER DT for 2019 RAM 1500

Update: I posted on Z-Automotive's FB Group and got the 18.0.1 firmware sent to me. Those guys are awesome. So I guess I was the unlucky one that discovered the fact that Line Lock will attempt to engage when the engine is off if mapped to one of the Cruise keys. Oops. This is an unforeseen...

TAZER DT for 2019 RAM 1500

As a few have reported, the "Line Lock" can cause "Service Stability Control" errors. I accidentally engage Line Lock while the truck ignition was on but not running. Don't do this. I can't get Cruise Control enabled due to the Stability Control fault to navigate the menus in the Tazer DT to run...

TAZER DT for 2019 RAM 1500

I'm in a real bind. The Tazer DT support page only has firmware 18.0.3 available for download. I need version 18.0.1 really bad. Does anyone have the file they can email to me? Should be something like "Tazerdt-18_0_1.tfw". Thanks!

    A/C Performance

If you're buying a truck with a panoramic sunroof, it WILL take longer to cool down due to the heat radiated into the truck. I cut a piece of thin foil-backed insulation to fit my sunroof opening and slide in between the shade and glass. I keep the shade closed when it's 90+ °F outside. It made...

Best tuner for 2019 Ram 1500

The 19 Ram stability control system is overly sensitive to aggressive throttle mapping. I've noticed that with 4WD Auto on and Diff locked, I can launch hard on wet pavement and fault the vehicle stability control system. The vehicle will go permanently into limp mode and display a message to...

Best tuner for 2019 Ram 1500

The company that makes Pulsar owns several sub-brands. They all sell the Pulsar. I have been running the Pulsar about a year now without the issues other have seen. I suspect it's a grounding issue in the truck. We already know that the 19 Ram has a ton of electronics onboard and there has been...

When are you doing your first oil change?

I was commenting sarcastically that following the oil life meter will assure that your motor last past the warranty. That's all FCA cares about. Personally, I'd like to see the motor last 250k+ miles and feel better changing the oil at 50% oil life. Maybe longer if I spend more time on the...

When are you doing your first oil change?

Just remember that, no matter how you drive or what the conditions, following the computer's oil life meter and changing the oil as directed will ALWAYS assure your engine makes it past the warranty.

    Headlight Adjustment

My preferred method is the level dark road adjustment. Find a level dark road and adjust the high beams too low then raise them to project as far as possible. Stop when brightness on the ground at a distance is maxed out. Too high and it'll get dimmer. Adjust both sides for a good ground...

TAZER DT for 2019 RAM 1500

Welcome to 2019. Instructions are provided as PDF documents. Digital devices have firmware and change constantly. This makes any printed document outdated. It's easier to update an electronic document. Quit resisting and go download the manual! It fully explains how to install and program the...

    Headlight Adjustment

Same as others said...aim at a wall and watch as you turn. Count your turns if you are afraid of losing the setting. It's not rocket science. Just do it.

You can reset Trip A or B anytime and the average restarts independently on each.

USB on Console question and MPG avg Meter question

My Jeep used a rolling 300 mile average. I suspect the Ram is similar.
