I didn't want to deal with cheap, no name black lug nuts chipping and/or rusting, so I spent a few extra bucks on these McGard (64074) lug nuts. Can't give a long time report yet but they survived installation without chipping:)

Isn't this model dependent? The DR900X has integrated parking power management.

I wouldn't doubt it's an antenna issue. I'm just inclined to believe it's more of an issue of design than defect. But of course, I'm speculating. I'll probably bring it in. I'm sure they'll say "could not duplicate."
