And a truck is such a great platform
We Stayed right in the truck for a spontaneous weekend if sun set chasing ,night sky watching, sun rise waiting a few weeks ago.
What a great time.
It was clear skies for the sunset at another Vista. We watched the clouds roll in to block the...
Allegheny National Forest here in Pennsylvania is still first come first serve for dispersed camping and are still free. Some of the campgrounds in the forest are fee based and a reservation though.
So we still got places to go.
And, actually, the new system will make a weekend trip easier...
Just wanted to share this, since I have talked with a few here about it.
Pennsylvania free motorized camping is no longer free.
The sites are being turned over to Reserve America for reservations.
I have hauled a 6'4" bed.
Most times. I still need more bed.
5'7" bed is the reason I do not own a 5th Gen Rebel.
Wish they would offer the PowerWagon with an 8 foot bed.
Otherwise, I will keep my commercial truck.
13900 is the GCWR. It is the only rating that is not in your door jamb. It is from the towing chart. I showed a screen shot above.
You should have 2 stickers in your door jamb. One that has your GVWR and GAWR... Which you found
And then a tire and loading sticker. That has your tire size...
Curious how the 5300 base weight matched to your payload number on the door jamb? How close was it to 1690?
6990 minus 5300 would be 1690 payload...which is very good.
13900 minus 5300 equals a max tow of 8600 lbs.
Now, if you read the thread that was linked this is a bogus number for a...
So although 2021 was the year the EcoD HFE was released...it is not in literature until 2022
So it has a derated GVWR to 6990 but keeps the same 13900 GVWR. With a max tow of 8290
So your truck will be less than 8290...depending what story your payload sticker shows.
So. For 2021 the HFE did switch from the 3.6l V6 etorque to the 3.0l V6 EcoDiesel.
The HFE gets a lower GVWR and a Lower/SAME GCWR than a similar non HFE truck.
Can you tell me what your door sticker says for GVWR.
Did you use your actual VIN at the RAM towing page
That said...one would think the RAM TRX site would be tracking TRX trucks...but I also know alot of people are just scouring the interwebs looking for someone to tell them when there truck is done...some might even be jeeps and dodges too...lol
No. Not all 5th Gen Ram trucks have dual exhaust.
The V6 gas trucks do not. Tradesman with any engine do not.(certain packages do add them to the Hemi Tradesman)
I have never been to Codorus. That area is a bit outside my usual roam.
Little Buffalo and Colonel Denning are kinda in between. They are great campgrounds too
Check out Fowlers Hollow if you want a great small campground as well
