I took a picture and video of the backup camera issue I had similar to yours and showed the dealer and they replaced and fixed. The wouldn't do this for you?
I had a similar issue that happened one day. Dealer couldn't fix it, but what did is disconnecting the battery for about an hour. My location and compass were then reading accurately. Hope this helps.
Wow. Good thread. One thing that's missing (might have missed it in the 27 pages) is that I haven't seen anyone recommend calling FCA customer service to open a case. This can easily be done via website or phone. They have to look at the case when opened. Then wait a few days and call every...
Hello everyone. The dealership can't replicate this issue referenced on this thread and won't perform the work, and I already have a FCA case open (for this and other items) and FCA told me basically deal with it or take it to another dealer if they won't perform the TSB work. Any tips? Thanks!
The dealer I took it too didn't know how to access the menu either. They tried everything but ultimately it was me disconnecting the battery for an hour then reconnecting that solved it based on a tip in another forum. You can call unconnect directly to ask them if there's any update to the...
As an update, I disconnected the battery for a good amount of time and now my GPS and compass are reading correctly so far. You think that dealership would have tried that when they had my truck twice. Just happy it's working in the meantime. I have some other TSB I need to do, so I'll be on the...
FYI, I read another suggestion in the forum to take a terminal off the battery for half an hour then attach back onto the battery. All my setting were still saved, and it appears to have corrected my compass and GPS issue at least over these last few days.
FYI, when talking with FCA customer service staff today they noted there's a TCM(?) number 21-050-18 that involves etorque. She wasn't able to fully explain what it does and I haven't verified, but it's a software update involving etorque models and updates certain things like shift points and...
Good information. Thank you. I'll have to try being super conservative with it for a tank or two and see what I get. I'm normally slow and smooth driving in the city but not looking at the mpg gauge. I'm getting around 14-15 mpg city with 89 octane.
Hi. First thread here. I'm wondering if the unconnect 8.4 without nav has a GPS receiver that is used when android auto is used (android auto sometimes uses car GPS?) or does the RAM only have GPS on nav models? I know when I bought the truck the finance guy located the truck via GPS to sell me...
That makes sense. But how does that relate to the 17 mpg city estimate I have on my window sticker(4x4, crewcab, Laramie, short bed, 3.92) ? Shouldn't city mpg not be as affected by the 392 rear and the ram be able to hit this EPA estimate?
