Yeah, definitely one of those decisions that makes you scratch your head. It might be easier to just order the truck with the standard mirrors which are power-folding, then have the dealer order the power-folding tow mirrors and install them when the truck is delivered during the PDI process. By...
I believe the power-folding trailer tow mirrors are only available on the upper trims (Laramie, Limited, Limited Longhorn).
Big Horn and below are only manual fold.
I think it’s a pretty solid deal then. If you can, try to get the wheel and spare tire locks taken out of the deal. Not bad though for almost $11K off MSRP before TTL.
@artu4bbk Ah thank you! I’d get the wheel locks removed. And what’s the $200 delivery fee? Are you purchasing from out of the area and they’re delivering it to you?
Unfortunately nobody knows what the upcoming rebates will be. October rebates might be a good indicator, however. See how the rebates change for your trim level (if they change) between this month and October once they’re released next week.
If I had to guess, I’d imagine there would be little...
Typically when you use affiliate rewards (likely 1% under invoice) there will be no more negotiating. That will be your discount plus any applicable rebates.
I always suggest that you keep that rewards information under wraps until negotiations have stalled. Sometimes you can actually get a...
I’m pretty happy with my BAKFlip. I have the MX4 and haven’t had any noticeable leaks while washing the truck. I did add some additional weather stripping near the tailgate to help keep water out...that’s something you could do with any cover as it’s not because of the design of the covers...
That’s the thing though, from what I’ve gathered, there aren’t “plenty of places trying to sell trucks.” Now, that’s not a blanket statement for the entire country, but we’re still in this weird pandemic marketplace where inventory levels are still rebounding. Thus, dealers aren’t as willing to...
I put within a month. Keep in mind that there is a limited window to use the coupon. I believe the one I received expires early November.
I was also reaching out to multiple dealers through their websites, so I’m not sure if that had anything to do with receiving the coupon as well.
Unfortunately the coupons aren’t transferable unless to an immediate family member in the same household.
As far as getting one, I just signed up to receive updates via the Ram website. I didn’t get the coupon immediately...it was probably a month or two after I initially signed up.
I couldn’t believe how thin and flimsy the plastic is compared to the factory liners that came on my 2017. The ones on the 2017 were pretty thick plastic which offered absolutely no flex. Still really happy to have them though, and agree that they are for both function and looks.
Really appreciate you giving us a rundown of your ordering process! I find it interesting that dealers were able to order before the official announcement/release. And now that I think about it, with one of the Ceramic Gray BTS trucks I was looking at, the dealer sent me the order sheet, which...
Any dealer-installed accessories/packages, especially lift kits are typically very inflated to net the dealer as much profit as possible. I’d steer clear of it to be honest.
Leveling kits are relatively inexpensive (depends on brand), tires roughly $800-1K, wheel locks $25? ... I’d say they are...
