Active grill shutters not working even after replacing motor.

I would just add that loss of ground connection to any device on the LIN bus will make that device unable to communicate.

Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

So what do we know about this "dead pedal"? Is it something that could be retrofitted to older models, or is it just a big bump in the sheet metal?

Replaced spark plugs, nothing but problems.

Possibly a mistake. I'd have wanted to clear all existing problems before adding more. You could have blown something up by improper jump starting, so not a good idea to dump a bunch of new opportunities for error on top of it. Probably not, but it might damage the ECU which is still...

They say to dress for the job you want. So my question is, what job requires demonic tattoos and multiple snag hazards? Shark bait? Circus? US Senate?

Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

Maybe it's just my fevered brain, but hear me out ... Double up quantity on mostly existing engine parts, with a new block, crank, maybe rods, and build a 6-litre four-turbo V-12 to replace the 6.4 Hemi? Anyone think that could be awesome?

An Engineer's Ultimate Guide To 3.21 VS 3.92 Axle Ratio

That's like comparing apples to avocados. Hook a thirty foot travel trailer to the rear of your Civic and see how it matches up. It's not about speed, it's about trailer miles, or drywall sheets, or airport luggage trips, or maybe even mudhole ducks.

An Engineer's Ultimate Guide To 3.21 VS 3.92 Axle Ratio

My point was for the poster who said our trucks won't tow or haul. But those are the things I bought it for. So if it won't do what I bought it for, why would I drive it? I have other vehicles that also won't tow or haul which get much better mileage. I don't agree BTW. I'm sure it will tow...

And yet another. Okay I'm tired of posting these but have to ask, are they putting LSD in the water?

If you can't do anything with it, isn't mileage irrelevant? I have a rice burner that will carry two people and a week's groceries.

ABS Sheet for Engine Bay Skid Plate

It's an interesting idea. Couple thoughts to offer: 1) Not sure 1/8" will prove to be thick enough. See what happens. 2) If I remember correctly, ABS tends to crack under continuous mechanical stress, so pay particular attention to how you attach it. I'm thinking big fender washers at least...

An Engineer's Ultimate Guide To 3.21 VS 3.92 Axle Ratio

That perception is relative. If you've been accustomed to passenger cars with their typical gearing, a truck with "work" axles could certainly seem like the engine is racing too fast. The reality is that our 1500's have *two* overdrive gears. My history with pickup trucks includes Blue Ovals...

An Engineer's Ultimate Guide To 3.21 VS 3.92 Axle Ratio

I guess I'm aging myself. I remember when two speed PowerGlide was the hot thing for the strip and three on the tree was just normal. TorqueFlites and HydraMatics were just for cushy luxury rides, too slippy and unreliable for everyday work. I could say more along those lines, but this is...

An Engineer's Ultimate Guide To 3.21 VS 3.92 Axle Ratio

So far I haven't found a real need for 1, 3, or 5, and could probably do without 7 though it's convenient around town. My old Dakota has a 5-speed and I don't use 1 all the time. Occasionally skip 3, too. My wish list said 5 to 6 gears when I bought the BH, and worry a bit about the extra...
