Possibly a mistake. I'd have wanted to clear all existing problems before adding more. You could have blown something up by improper jump starting, so not a good idea to dump a bunch of new opportunities for error on top of it. Probably not, but it might damage the ECU which is still...

That's like comparing apples to avocados. Hook a thirty foot travel trailer to the rear of your Civic and see how it matches up. It's not about speed, it's about trailer miles, or drywall sheets, or airport luggage trips, or maybe even mudhole ducks.

My point was for the poster who said our trucks won't tow or haul. But those are the things I bought it for. So if it won't do what I bought it for, why would I drive it? I have other vehicles that also won't tow or haul which get much better mileage. I don't agree BTW. I'm sure it will tow...

It's an interesting idea. Couple thoughts to offer: 1) Not sure 1/8" will prove to be thick enough. See what happens. 2) If I remember correctly, ABS tends to crack under continuous mechanical stress, so pay particular attention to how you attach it. I'm thinking big fender washers at least...

That perception is relative. If you've been accustomed to passenger cars with their typical gearing, a truck with "work" axles could certainly seem like the engine is racing too fast. The reality is that our 1500's have *two* overdrive gears. My history with pickup trucks includes Blue Ovals...
