I'm getting close to new tires and want to go from the horrible factory street tires on my truck to something a little more aggressive and a lot tougher. Flat tires on hunting trips suck.
Has anyone swapped out their steelie for a full size wheel and if so, what wheel? The center hole and...
I've hauled my Challenger and Barracuda on a trailer through mountains and didn't bother with the Tow/Haul setting. Got better fuel mileage just putting it in drive and going. Just take it easy, don't go fast, brake early, and get a feel for it. You should be just fine.
I moved a fresh cut natural edge pine board a while back and what seemed like a gallon of sap dripped down the outside of the bed from the bed rail down across the fuel fill door and to the bottom of the side of the bed. I got busy and didn't clean it for ...oh, probably 3 months.
Soaked a...
I ASSume that the earlier ones, if they haven't had a problem yet, are unlikely to, so Ram is wanting to take care of the newer ones that haven't developed an issue before they do then will retrofit the older less likely to fail ones. Pure speculation with no basis in actual knowledge though.
Just crawled under and looked at it. Wire is riped in half right against the frame. Not sure how the hell I missed it the first time I looked.
Bought a new one for 34 bucks, ready for pickup tomorrow and I'll put it in myself in 20 minutes. I can see how this wouldn't be covered...
That particular dealer is an hour and 15 minutes away. The next closest one is an hour and a half, and can't get me in for 2 weeks which is after hunting season starts.
Pay 50 bucks out of pocket for the part and do it myself, or pay more than fifty bucks in fuel and take a day off work to go...
I did not get the update yesterday, as I've got a bad wheel speed sensor and they wanted almost $500 to fix it, and warranty won't cover it even though my truck only has 26k on it. They claim damage. I brought it home and will fix it myself, and if there isn't actually damage I'm going to be...
I'm headed in to a dealer tomorrow afternoon for an ABS/ESC/Cruise control/no 4wd issue that I hope is just this.
~26k miles on it, showed up September 4th as I was headed out of town for an elk hunt. Kind of effed up my week, not having 4wd. I'm hoping it's fixed before the next hunt in 2...
I talked to a Crutchfield advice person on their chat...probably a year ago now? when I was buying a new stereo and speakers for my 96 Bronco. At that point, they had no recommendations for anything for the 5th gen rams. I'll check it out now and see if it's different. Thanks!
Are those plug and play? I don't really do/know stereo stuff beyond popping out the old one and sticking a new one in its place and don't really want to learn, but the base level speakers in my truck are trash. I'd buy a set if I could just stick them in and plug new wires in.
Sweet, good choice. You'll now likely never know how much the short bed sucks when actually using it as a truck. That extra 9 inches makes a big difference sometimes. Folks that say it doesn't just don't use the bed for truck stuff and it shows. I still wish there was an 8' bed Megacab that...
Mine broke off in my hand the other day while I was driving down the road. I reached up to flip it down and the whole thing came free. Pretty annoying.
