I’d recommend Hunter in Lancaster. You can also try Rydell or Dependable in the San Fernando Valley. I’d stay away from Huntington and Russell Westbrook.
The family has purchased a few vehicles (all special order) from Dependable and have always been happy. Hunter is one of the larger volume...
For the record, the wheels are definitely not the same as what’s on the BTS. BTS comes with 20’s where the Backcountry comes with 18’s.
And the running boards are the same that come on all trim levels of the 1500 (they weren’t BTS-specific).
Not sure about the 8 year smog exemption, but yes, it is a requirement for a new vehicle bought out of state to be smogged before it can be registered. You also will have to get it weighed.
Bought my truck last summer in Colorado and went through all of this. Not too much of a hassle as I knew...
The early version of this motor in the 4th Gen Rams did not have a very good track record. However, the engines were redesigned for the 5th Gens, and so far, seem to have much better reliability (although, it is still too early to tell for long-term reliability).
Just stick the recommended...
That’ll look really good. I know there’s a few out there that have put the Rebel wheels/tires on their Bighorn.
You might have to level the front as you are increasing the size of your wheel/tire setup. The stock 18’s you have measure out to about a 32” tall tire, where the Rebels are 33”...

I believe the most recent reports on the various GM news sites is that the GM twins refresh has been pushed back to MY 2023 account the current automotive climate. Unconfirmed, of course.
I was skeptical about the spitfire orange and how it would look. But I am pleasantly surprised by how good it looks. Out of all the colors, it’s my second favorite (ceramic gray being my number one).
I get between 14 and 14.5 in the city and around 18 on the highway in my 2020 BTS with the 3.92. You have to remember that the BTS also has the increased ride height, and sits an inch higher than a normal Ram.
As others have said, the mpg numbers on the window sticker should be taken with a...
Completely agree! I’m actually a fan of the rotary shifter. I never have to look at the shifter. Park all the way to the left, reverse one click right, drive all the way to the right. Pretty simple.
And not once have I mistaken the shifter for the radio volume knob, or vice versa (people...
