I have your exact build except the multifunction tailgate. One thing I wish i had done was the trailer tow group. It is a lot harder to add the trailer brake control after, cough up the $400 bucks now even if you don’t plan on towing. I’m wishing I did.
I did a pretty thorough review here (https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/mopar%E2%80%99s-%E2%80%9Cram-airflow%E2%80%9D-cold-air-intake-system-for-ram-1500.11037/post-231568) but also live in the South Bay if you’re down for a drive. I’m sure we can figure out a social distance listening...
My driveway has a deceptive grade, so might be affecting the photo angles.
Stock measurements:
37.375” Floor to fender (Front)
39.625” Floor to fender (Rear)
Now:
39.625” Front
~40.2” Rear
So if you back out the tires are ~1” bigger netting .5” of lift, I got ~1.75” in the front and left...
I agree with your entire review (except I got closer to level than you). I was a bit worried at first about the on-road feel but they broke in after barely any time and now it’s just a firm, more-planted truck. I had them out on some fire-roads and muddy trails last weekend and they were great...
Honestly ask him, he seems like a pretty straight up guy. I can try calling Undercover and see what they say, but I figure the $200+ I saved will outweigh the potential need for the warranty given what probability you put on that.
Email Luke and tell him you are from the forum. They are by far the cheapest when it comes to Tonneau covers, etc. He’s really helpful and will answer any of your questions.
I’ll be honest, I did use your pics when looking for wheels. I wanted a negative offset but the look of the vectors is too nice. So i threw some .375” wheel spacers to get a little more out of them.
Fooled around in the mud and got her dirty...then cleaned her up (not that great but took me over an hour to power wash wheel wells and undercarriage, wife ran out of patience). Falcon shocks were in their element here, more than make up for stiff on road ride.
No problem, I thought you were talking about the adjustable rear dampeners! Do you have anything on the front of the truck, like a winch? All trucks will be different and maybe settle differently hence our two trucks, just wondering why yours is so much lower. I would have thought you got at...
So the reason they can get the same lift from a Rebel as a non-Rebel is because the springs are what provide the factory lift for the Rebel. Since you re-use the springs with this setup it doesn’t matter if you have the regular 1500 or Rebel you can achieve the 2” level up front. The difference...
Mine went on today. Not enough miles on them to give a review but will come back after a bit of time. Pretty excited so far, heading out to the desert in a few weeks to hopefully get some good runs on them.
Also posted in another thread but asking here: Last check-in before I hopefully pull the trigger today: How are they on-road? I'm trusting that all the brands (icon, falcon, king) will be amazing off-road and will all do a great job of absorbing the bumps at high speed/not bottoming out/good...
Last check-in before I hopefully pull the trigger today: How are they on-road? I'm trusting that all the brands (icon, falcon, king) will be amazing off-road and will all do a great job of absorbing the bumps at high speed/not bottoming out/good firm and stable track. How are they during daily...
I’ll leave it to smarter folks than I to really confirm but my understanding is that the Rebels and ORGs get their lift from a larger spring (strut length is the same), so by this package being just struts and not full coil overs, you would gain the full amount of lift. Whereas coil over setup...
