I will look into that if I'm still lacking bass. either powered sub or get another amp just for the sub. I've seen aftermarket enclosures and they look real pricey. Is it possible to get a factory enclosure or are there alternatives?
Very nice! I got my amp mounted over the weekend and my power wire ran to it. a few hookups this weekend and will be done. No sub for now, see if I can extract some more with the DSP in the amp. If I have to I will add one later just hate to give up any of my already limited floor space...
Got the grill from American Trucks shortly after I got the truck. Got the letters off Ebay and hot glued the tabs on the backside of the grill. I've since changed the leds to smoked. Paid 242 for the grill looks like they are on sale for 218 now
Not sure, I used a bypass harness on mine also, it bypassed the speakers but there is still a connection to the module. Don't know what kind of effect it would have. I removed my active air dam and use a different source for my new fogs and have no faults on the dash, just shows missing air dam...
I would've leveled but I went 3/2 for 3 reasons. 1. I only had 1.5" rake. 2. I tow pretty much weekly and needed stiffer springs out back. 3. A 1" level wouldn't help much sliding under the truck to change the oil.
If you have a baseboard between the recepts you can remove it and cut the bottom 3 " off the sheet rock, drill through the studs and fish a new wire in there. You'll have to deal with the bottom plate but half should be covered by underlay, flooring. put the sheet rock back in as filler and...
I actually used the PAC ANC CH01 that you have. One of the plugs connects to the factory speaker wire harness. You can cut the speaker wires on the harness and insert amp. Saturday I soldered the connections but I have not installed the Amp yet, need to run power for it.
I think you don't really need the bypass unless you are adding a sub or amp. I got my amp harness out and cut the PAC harness and 16 solder connections later its ready to hook to power and install.
But also as you said, service departments all over are swamped, so it's still profitable to have a poor service dept. some dealerships are better to purchase a vehicle from but you may not want them to service your vehicle.
yup, the series is the sidewall depth, be it 275, 285, 295. that's not going to deviate much, dependant on rim width. The tread width can be all over the place. 295s with 0 offset rims. Rims are cheaper than tires now.
It'll be another week or so before I have time to put it in. The new speakers are sounding great and clear but something is missing with the factory tune. Hopefully this little amp will provide it.
Had to screenshot and convert to jpeg as it was a pdf and I couldn't figure out how to load it. This isn't the actual diagram with the ANC system but the speaker wire colors are the same and it shows the connection of the dash speakers to the door speakers so you can see how they are tied...
Need to find the factory wiring diagram and you can see which wires are + and - on the factory plug, when you plug the Metra adaptor into it the black should be the - on the factory plug. Let me see if I can find it.
