When I 1st got my truck I was thinking the same thing. Supposedly the ones for a Toyota Tundra will work, however the price was more than I was willing to spend. To be honest, since then I haven't run into any scenario where I needed extra tiedown points.
I used to be able to do it for my 2011 Durango, but unfortunately they plugged gap. Not sure if the same is true for newer NAV units but to be honest, with the 12" screen and Google Maps I won't be paying for a map upgrade. My wife wanted me to update the maps in her 2015 Jeep unit I told her...
LOL, I can imagine what that was like. I won't do the hack because quite frankly it's their issue to fix while it's still under warranty. A lot of people are worried about the tech damaging the interior, but response to that is to photograph your interior so if something is broken, they won't be...
I think it's a stretch to call Barrie "Northern Ontario" Whose your tire dealer, seems you may have gotten a better deal than me. Might be worth the drive for me from Newmarket. I'm looking to replace the stock Goodyears with OC IIIs.
I hate the look of steel wheels too, and upgrading to a set of Art Replicas was only $150 more. It was a no brainer for me. The Art Replicas come both brushed alum/black like the standard Rebel rims or all black which the manufacturer, but only the all black are rated for winter use. This was my...
I went with a set of Art Replica 167 (basically knock offs of the Ram Rebel Rims) and General Grabber Arctic tires (275/65R18). Out the door including the black wheel nuts and taxes was just over $1600 Canadian.
Took my truck in yesterday. To be honest, I have a feeling that at least in the northern climates techs up here may have glossed over this one since it got issued in Nov. when AC is not in big demand. Had a bit of a discussion with the actual tech about it.
Parts are on order, and will be...
The stickers are very easy to take off. They would have been applied after your truck was painted/clear coated. If you're nervous about doing it yourself, the dealer could probably have their bodyshop take them off for you.
As for the Amazon kit, personally I think you're paying more for the...
Sorry, but are you trying to be funny?
There is a problem with the HVAC system on the 5th gen Rams. If there wasn't this TSB wouldn't exist. Pretty sure that in my 40 yrs of driving, I've mastered how to work the AC properly.
In all the vehicles I've owned, never have I ever had one...
Re-took the temps today with your suggested settings. Even though it was about 5 - 7 degrees cooler, got the same results. I'll redo them again when the temps get up to at least the mid 80s.
Regardless, I've already booked my appointment for Wed. because if I can take the AC blowing in my face...
Looks like I'll be booking an appointment to get this TSB done. It got into the mid 80s today so I took measurements between the driver & passenger vents. Not only is there an 8 degree difference (51F vs 43F) with the AC set to max, but the air blowing on my face didn't even get close being too...
I need to stop looking at these threads. I'm fighting hard to not give into my natural urge to oversize my tires because I'll never do any serious off-roading with this truck. Plus if I don't it won't stop at just the tires. :p Maybe it's time to start shopping for an old CJ that way I can go...
It's despicable if US dealers are misrepresenting vehicles they are importing from Canada. From a Canadian RAM owner there is a bit of a silver lining from US dealerships buying up used RAMs up here. The trade-in value of our trucks have gone through the roof.
I live north of Toronto, we get all the snow that doesn't fall in Toronto. Haven't had any issues with them yet. A lot less build up than I've had on past normal running boards.
Happy hunting. I wish you luck on your wish list but given the value of the models that have those options I think it'll be more than a year before they start showing up in a scrapyard.
All Ram has to do is bring out an electric version of my Limited with a range of around 400 miles while towing and I'm in. Yes, I'll miss the throatiness of my Hemi, but hey I can always record it and play it back for nostalgia.
