I blacked everything on mine out (pre-that being an option) and I opted to leave the lugs silver and the white letters on the tires since it's that liiiiiitle bit of pop
Fair question - yeah burnout was definitely a just because I was getting new ones haha. Always kept my tires at the right pressure, probably 60/40 highway and city driving. Probably taken it on ~500 miles of 'spirited' driving on windy roads which would account for the edges getting more worn...
That is the spare that our trucks come with; I think the Duratrac looks much better on the truck but I can't compare noise since I only had 1/4 on at the time haha
Interestingly the tire shop told me that I should get much closer to the 50k rating with the same exact tires purchased 'aftermarket'. They said that side by side, identical tires, the factory tires usually are not as good of a compound as the ones you can buy from a...
My 'before' photo was post-burnouts but they weren't much better
Ah rough..yeah it's pretty underwhelming.
I think around $1250 installed...shop had a $125 rebate and Goodyear had a $75 mail-in rebate (not included in my price). I'd suggest checking your local dealer to see if they have...
Haha thanks! I know exactly what you're talking about; I think it has to do with the balance of your gas/throttle (you should be lessening pressure on the brakes as your burnout goes on) but also has to do with the road surface (smoother is better). There is a fuse you can pull though that...
I put on a new set of Duratracs this week and sent the old ones out properly - with some egregious burnouts. Traction control off, axle locker on, 2WD, mash the gas and throttle and enjoy. These things are burnout machines! Photos below show the tires post-burnouts and the replacements for...
Update - turns out I was right, only had about 20% treadlife left so I took advantage of a sale and got replacement Duratracs. The new ones ride great and are quieter than my worn ones were, and the tread is just so beefy. I took the opportunity to burn off my old ones before I replaced them 🔥...
This^ - I saw a current-gen red crew cab Rebel this week with stock wheels and highway tires and it was awkward and hideous in my opinion. Looked like it skipped leg day. The only rationale I could come up with is it was someone who bought a Rebel not understanding what it entailed, and then got...
Their configurator has been super buggy recently, wheels change when they shouldn't, regular 1500 grille populates in, Night Edition only does the wheels but not the skid plate, etc...hopefully it is sorted soon. I can't tell any difference in the wheels on their current setup.
I dipped mine originally, held up great for about a year until the edges around the tow hook holes started to peel. It got very torn up on the bottom offroading, but that is perks of being on a skidplate.
Solid - yeah that was my problem too. Did you have to take off the skid plate for Rhino lining/pay labor for them to remove/install? It was such a pain taking apart/reassembling my bumper that I am trying to avoid doing it again at any point soon haha
