    Farewell 5.7

He didn't say if he's going gas or diesel. But it looks like he's gone already, so we'll never know.

Who here is NOT happy with their e-Torque system?

The difference between the two? You could buy 10 alternators for the price of 1 MGU. That's why I say 2022 was where the Ram 1500 peaked. It was the last chance to get a non-eTorque Hemi.

    Farewell 5.7

You can't swing a dead cat without hitting a thread online about a new GM 5.3 or 6.2 engine losing the valvetrain and/or spinning bearings while still in bumper to bumper warranty, necessitating a new engine. The OP thinks he's doing himself a favor by going to GM?? That's laughable. They've...

Transmission Oil change and other fluid changes.

Why would it not be? Whatever is sitting around outside will all be the same temperature. Unless it's in direct sunlight, which a transmission pan wouldn't be.

$1200/mo lease payment for 60 mos

..........because domestic policy intentionally made it happen. When you tell people they can't go to work, it tends to disrupt supply chains. We had pandemics before. Heck, in 1968/69 there was a pandemic that killed over 1 million people. Did the government tell people they weren't allowed...

$1200/mo lease payment for 60 mos

This is not a political statement, it’s just a fact. So what happened is that when blue party purposefully killed the economy, suddenly there were TONS of people sitting in $399/month leases on very expensive pickup trucks and cars and those leases were about to come to the end of contract. So...

Transmission Oil change and other fluid changes.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure they want the fluid to be 90 degrees F or a little bit warmer to do a correct level check. So what I’ve done in the past is wait and do my transmission filter changes during the middle of summer. In summer here it’s common for ambient temp to be...

Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

What? I used to drag my 6k 24' enclosed trailer around with the 3.6L gas Jeep pickup. A Ram with a 6.4L Hemi would have made light work of it. I see guys all the time praising the new gas HD trucks and talking about how amazed they are at the pulling power. The Ford 7.3 gas gets within 2 MPG...

Official EPA numbers for the hurricanes posted

The "combined" number is what 95% of people will actually expect to see. Looks like 0 difference with the S.O. engine and -2 with the H.O. engine. Plus, higher octanes required across the board. Woof....

Are there any high mileage Gen3 Eco's with stock tune on here?

Just curious.. do you guys ever tow trailers? That's pretty impressive to reach that mileage without oil leaks or any of the other issues. Interesting, considering that Pennzoil and Quaker State come from the same company and are extremely similar in virgin analysis.

Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

25 horses? That's not going to be noticeable in a 5,600 lb. vehicle.

Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

Official EPA gas mileage numbers: ZERO gain over the Hemi in the S.O. version, less than the Hemi in the H.O. version, plus you need mid-grade on the S.O. version. So essentially, you're paying more to drive the new engine than you did the Hemi. Just brilliant. If you have a Hemi truck...

Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

H.O. engine specs 0W40 oil. When the engineer was asked why, "It gives better bearing protection." Funny, we've been saying that for years and nobody would listen. Guys put that watery 20 weight oil in their V8 and then wonder why it ticks and the internals don't last. I would use the 40 on...

ORP Springs + Leveling Kit on 2019 Ram 1500

Thanks. I had no issues and wouldn't bother with the Mopar UCA personally, but if you have plenty of funds it certainly wouldn't hurt.

Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

What's new on the '25 that's worth $8k+ more money? They put a digital screen on the passenger side now? As far as "if it's too much then don't buy it" that's exactly what's happening. Rams are sitting on lots and rotting. They're doing 20% off to try and move some of them.

Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

It's amazing how so many people view truck payments as an evil, but they have no problem dropping hundreds per month on country club fees, golf equipment, hunting equipment, camping equipment, trips here and there, or whatever other hobby they enjoy. None of this goes with us. Whatever money...

    2025 brochure

Even Tradesman? Sounds like what Toyota has done on the new Tacoma. Safety package is standard across the board. Of course, we have to remember that "standard" doesn't mean you save money. They just lump it into the MSRP. But still, if the base models can now GET the adaptive cruise, that's...

Biggest tires on stock suspension/stock 20 inch rims

I had no rubbing anywhere. It was very very close at the splash guards, but it didn't touch. My wheels were 20x9 with +18 offset I think. Can't remember the exact offset.

Fluids Change Time (Transfer, Differential, Transmission)

Well, hang on a sec. There are two different machines that "flush" the transmission and lines. One is a "power flush" machine that forces fresh fluid through the system. The other is a machine that simply connects to the truck and allows the truck's pump to cycle fresh fluid through. The...

Biggest tires on stock suspension/stock 20 inch rims

I actually put 295/60R20s on. That was on my 2020 EcoDiesel North Edition. The North Edition had the Off Road Group suspension, so it sat slightly higher than a standard 4x4. With stock wheel offset, it was absolutely the tallest I could go without rubbing.
