An Engineer's Ultimate Guide To 3.21 VS 3.92 Axle Ratio

The Lincoln comparison is the same car with different gears by locking out overdrive during the majority of the speed driven at. You are comparing a half truck. Most are driving 4x4. 😆

An Engineer's Ultimate Guide To 3.21 VS 3.92 Axle Ratio

Yes a car has better aerodynamics. It is a little lighter also but still rpm to rpm. I still contest that truck to truck, rpm is not making some big difference in fuel milage. Another car case is my Lincoln. Way underpowered with a 4.6l motor. If I consistently turn off the overdrive when...

An Engineer's Ultimate Guide To 3.21 VS 3.92 Axle Ratio

You guys really believe that engine rpm is the key to milage? My 4000 lb car has a 6.4l, bigger cam, runs 500 rpm higher than my little 5.7l truck. The car gets 4 mpg better. Why? It does not work as hard at a higher rpm to move. Kind of like the truck with proper 3.92 gears as opposed to the...

I see Clyde decided to work on his tan too. Harder to get a picture of him chillin'. He's usually a little more active.

Bonnie is alive, really. You couldn't tell sometimes though. Have to poke her with a stick to make sure! She's working on her tan this morning.

Battery maintaining for lots of short trips and sitting for several days.

I have never looked at my battery to pay attention. I agree with @DEG . A 1 amp maintainer is fine. You don't want to cook the battery.it won't charge a dead battery but will maintain a good one. That connector he pictured is great. On my SxS I put a surface mount one in. Probably don't want to...

Hellephant with nitrous! Or perhaps someone from DARPA could chime in and we could tie in Project Orion.

An Engineer's Ultimate Guide To 3.21 VS 3.92 Axle Ratio

What is this magical 5.7 that you speak of? I didn't know they had 5.7 motors with more power than the Helliphant. I'd have to be 25% over that to reach this mystical "more power than I need" threshold. The well known proven fact that 3.92 is superior ratio will never play out!

They must have left that in there by mistake at the factory. It upgrades your Bighorn to a TRX with the luxury features found in a Limited. Man what a bonus find!

I have used Oxiclean for many stains with great success. Just mix a strong solution and blot at it.

    Home furnace question if available

This is very true. Part of thier profit is that they get the distributor discount and charge you the retail cost. Most consumers just think they are not being upcharged because that's what they saw. The distributors get a sliding scale savings based on volume.

    Home furnace question if available

In Northern VA you should be in the $8-$9k range for a midsized Goodman unit. They are owned by Diakin. They are a competitor in the commercial world.

    Chirping sound while turning

Haha! He saves gas in a Ram! Ha! Just kidding. I was just in a forum about lockers and limited slip rears. You don't have LSD rear that you recently changed fluid in do you? Just asking because lack of friction modifier can make the clutch pack stick and the tires slip on turns. Spitballing an...
