Very, very slowly. I moved my clamps to the other side of a cross member and had to remove it all to get it done.
Bring it inside and warm it up, it'll make it much easier to pull it off. There's a piece of plastic that's attached to the cover that slips inside the corner bracket.
Soft fold cover? If so, they slide off. You'll need to undo the corner brackets first (lift up the cover material and you'll see the bolts), then they come off.
Then etorque it is unless you find a '22 equipped as you want without it.
I chose to avoid the etorque and bought a used Limited...after 4 new, ordered trucks in a row. 50k miles on it, saved $30,000 and the truck looks new.
No regrets here...and not everyone gets rid of a vehicle because it...
There are rarely any incentives from the manufacturer on Limiteds - across all brands. If you can afford a top tier truck, they know you'll pay for it.
I drive my '19 Limited once a week currently, if that. I just did the Permatex seal last night, even with no leak. I don't want to jump in one day and see it's been leaking. For the $7.48 the tube was on Amazon, it's a no brainer.
Overall, what I could see was that my seal looked good... but...
It wasn't part of a package. They checked the box and got that option. The tri fold cover was likely a stand alone factory option in 2022 as well...it is in 2023.
You got a good deal on your truck.
I was set to get rid of the Mopar soft tri fold... but after learning about the black vs silver rails and having the truck a few weeks, I'm keeping it. It serves its purpose well and is relatively leak free so far...
I'm not sure where the Sirius unit is on the Ram, on the Chevy Equinox it's right behind the glove box. Unplug the similar looking plug, plug this in and you're good to go.
Zero issues with anything else, its the exact same as if you were replacing the sharkfin antenna (well, you are, just with...
No need. Just buy these and throw this on your dash...use double sided tape or velcro to secure it in place.
It will plug into the siruis tuner, once you unplug the sharkfin from it. I had a sharkfin fail in another vehicle and this was a good, cheap fix for it...
