I went with dual 10" Skar Audio SVR-10D2. I made my own box that would fit between the floor bins but it still sits a lil on the rubber matts. But I can still access the floor bins. I made it to have about .75cuft for each sub. The dimensions of the box are 41"×11.5"×8" and I used 3/4" mdf.
I didn't choose for my truck to come with the alpine system, it's just want came in the truck already. I think it is a decent factory system, but for me it was not enough. Plus it's just my preference to always customize the audio to my liking and loudness. If I were to have chosen I would have...
I tnink you're better off ditching the LC7i for this install. I think you're best bet is to go with an amp pro. I tried with the LC7i but couldn't get it to work. I went with a dsr1 but that's because I have the alpine system. But since you have the 6 speaker system the amp pro would prob be...
There are a few grounds near the rear wall. There's a pic another member posted that I pointed them out on. The one directly under the 40 seat is a 13mm. And the pair near the center are 10mm. If there's any paint to remove, it's minimal effort to get it cleaned up.
The dsr1 itself doesn't technically have the speaker wire leads but rather the corresponding t harness for your truck does. When I installed my setup, all I had to do was run wires from the t harness for the dsr1 to the aftermarket amps and no need to run new wires to each speaker
I'm running 2 of these 5 channel amps. Full range channels are 120 watts × 4 @ 4ohm and sub is 800 watts × 1 @ 1ohm.
This is prob gonna work better for your classic than the dsr1. But would still inline a dsp to it.
If you're planning to keep the other speakers powered with the factory amp, then the dsr1 is not the right choice. The dsr1 is for when you want to run all the speakers from aftermarket amps and remove the factory amp/ acn.
I also have the alpine system and I also installed infinity ref 3032cfx and 9623ix at first. But once I put them to an aftermarket amp, they could not handle the extra power. Especially the 3032cfx being only 25 watts rms, I had the 9623ix's powered with about 85 watts and they're supposedly 100...
