Not RAM Related but I loaded up the bike today for my longest trip ever. Dropping my bike off at the shipping company tomorrow. In 2 weeks, I fly out to Oregon to begin a 12,000 Mile ride over 5-6 weeks.

Departing Bend Oregon on June 17th
Riding dirt roads to the Canadian border (Oregon / Washington Backcountry Discovery Routes) then taking as much dirt as possible to Dawson City Yukon then up to the Arctic Ocean via the Dempster Highway. From there, south through forest service roads around the Banff area, crossing into Glacier National Park and riding the Continental Divide south to Mexico. Finally, The Trans America Highway east back to Charlotte North Carolina that TAT is mostly dirt but once you cross into the Carolinas, it's pavement (booo)

so it won't be a RAM trip but that's okay.

Accessories added: Installed lug nut condoms... err gloss black plastic lug covers from Ebay. I'm not thrilled that they only cover 80 percent and you can still see some steel, but painted lugs scratch, and the garbage treads on aftermarket, cheaply made replacements don't get to be on a 70K truck.... says me.

Also installed a soft roll up tonneau cover by Autosaver88 from Amazon. Nice quality and fit. Like that you can access the entire bed. (I bought my truck used and the Factory Tri-fold cover was missing.)

I shopped last night for exhaust systems.... you tube sound videos,... Leaning toward the MBRP High Flow T409.
I liked the tone of the Flowmaster FloFX, but it seems it like to bust out if it's seams!

Actually did some work with it ha. Took down an ash tree at my old man's house while he was out of town. He recently had back surgery, so I figured it would be best to do it alone while he was out of town and unable to help. Should heat my garage for at least a winter or winter and a half. Now the real work begins. Cleanup, splitting, and stacking.

Yea the emerald ash Borer has killed all my ash trees.
Usually all I burn. Splits and burns well.

Yep! We took down the neighboring ash tree last year. It did very well in my garage last winter. I still have almost half of that left. Oddly enough, when I was a kid probably 20 years ago, this ash tree split half way down. My dad and I drilled it and used a rod anchor to draw it back together. The tree grew around it and did well. Of course I found the buried bolt with a freshly sharpened chain . Sad to see them go, but it was time.

Yeah, I need to change my language. Around motorcycle riders you just say "I'm taking the bike" but at work where most of my colleagues are mountain bike riders, I get befuddled looks when I say "rode to Asheville this weekend and back" and they're like "no effing way"

Decided to take the spare down and throw it in the bed under the trifold cover. Better access if needed and I can keep it inflated properly.
Haven't had a flat in oh, 6 or more years but you never know. My luck it would be on a country road in the pitch black.

Took maybe 15 minutes from start to finish. Weird 1/2 tread tire. Never seen one like it.

I went on ebay and got an inexpensive used tire to replace my crappy spare with just for piece of mind while towing. Those spares aren't rate for any weight or distance of driving.

It's one of the temporary spares. Read the sidewall. I'd suggest swapping it out for a real tire.

I went on ebay and got an inexpensive used tire to replace my crappy spare with just for piece of mind while towing. Those spares aren't rate for any weight or distance of driving.

I just got a tire off local Facebook marketplace when I went to a bigger tire. And bought a matching BTS wheel. Cheaper and faster than fleabay.

I have the mbrp and while it sounded good, it sounds even better after doing the resonator delete from B2 fabrications
