Knob Ridge is a drivable trail like Strong Mtn

Treaster Valley is paved in some sections. It would be like Red Ridge Road.
Thanks man, appreciated.

I don't know that I'd want to mess with Knob Ridge and Strong Mtn without A/T tires but Red Ridge over to Treaster looks like a nice warm up for a beginner like me.

Try this.

This would all be forest roads. And you could do it in a car if you wanted. Almost all off pavement, except getting to the forest from the Lodge.

Just avoid roads with this sign 20200621_140110.jpg 20211105_165301.jpg

The ones that say Drivable Trail.

Went out this weekend to Rothrock SF checking conditions and vista peeping.

Mother Nature played her silly Pennsylvania games. View attachment 124511 View attachment 124512 View attachment 124513 View attachment 124514 View attachment 124515 View attachment 124516 View attachment 124517 View attachment 124518 View attachment 124519

Whenever I see clouds/fog rolling around hills/mountains, I can't not think of Skyrim.

Very cool. I have a camp about an hour south of Rothrock near Raystown lake. I thought about heading out there this past weekend but mother nature kept me home.
I have family in Huntingdon area so I've done a lot of hunting and fishing in that area growing up.

Went out to Tuscarora North and did some scouting. Got a camping trip planned here for over the holiday weekend. Can not wait to get some hiking and fishing in. Very cool! Never been there but looks awesome. That stream looks ideal for trout fishing. Enjoy!

It is just across the mountain From Raystown.

Just take 22 from Huntingdon McVeytown, or get on 522 to Mount Union.

We entered near McVeytown and exited near Mount Union(Newton Hamilton) Screenshot_20220504-110758.png

I fish trough creek and bald eagle a lot but I'm always looking for new places. Thanks.
That stream flows along the road to a half way point. It is west licking Creek. At the split there is a little bit with no creek...and then it is East licking Creek

The photos were taken near the CCC Fountain Spring...by the purple lizard.

Just stumbled across Poe Valley state park. Looks beautiful from the pics. Anyone been there? Good for a medium-sized trailer and light off-roading?

Poe Valley is right in the heart of Bald Eagle StTe Forest.

It is the RV park of the two Poes...Poe Paddy is for small pop ups and tents.

Probably the best place to go if you need amenities. They got a great beach to swim the lake and a good camp store.

I believe I shared routes that will take you all over the area of Poe Valley and Poe Paddy. 20220221_131528.jpg

A slightly larger shot of the purple lizard map. I strongly suggest getting one. Although you can pick up a day use map at the park or download from the DCNR website.

In case you are not familiar. You really want to enter from the Sand Mtn Exit off 322. Any other way in...you may find yourself on a road that you do not want to be on with a travel trailer.
