Do you think that backorders should extend parts of the warranty? I’m curious, I have a slew of parts on back order, no idea when they’ll get to the dealer. What happens if the issue runs past the warranty period? In this day and age I wouldn’t dismiss that idea. Is there some guarantee that says my truck will be fixed at no cost? (Other than all of fuel I’ve burned trying to get issues resolved).

My opinion is if it is documented before the warranty is expired they will fix it even if past miles or time once parts show up. Especially in these current delayed times. I would suggest you get documentation that shows what the problem is, mileage and date. I wouldn’t count on their system to keep track, I would ask for a paper receipt which is usually provided anyway.

Just my opinion, haven’t had to deal with it yet.
