TRX Grill on Laramie

I ordered one the other day. Will install Thursday most likely as long as it arrives on time and looks legit. Plan to do a tow test while we still have this Phoenix heat. That’s my main reason to test this grille out. It’s the most open grille I’ve seen so should help my cooling needs.

Your truck is overheating with the stock grill? The grill on my Laramie isn't restrictive at all, so I really doubt that the TRX knock off grill is going to make a meaningful difference.

It came and I installed it tonight. I’ll update with some pictures and thoughts tomorrow as long as my day goes well. Tow test coming Saturday. Initially it looks pretty decent. The finish on it is very questionable though. Seems easily scratched. I probably will be wrapping this grille in a silver or gray anyways. Along with some of the other chrome. More to come…

I just got the ebay TRX looking Grill install the Fitment isn’t very good had to do some modifications.
Cut the side clips of the grill.
Adjust the hood Latch the grill is bit higher so it didn’t wanted to close the hood.
The hood on the sides is a bit lifted still need to do some more mods maybe trim the sides on top of the grill.
They definitely need to do some more work in to it order to get a perfect fit.

Looks like the whole grill is sitting to high and need to shift down. Guessing its rubbing on some bottom part of the grill which is causing it to sit to high which is why you had to remove the side clips. Definitely needs to be modified, too bad.

Yes the bumper on the button is making a little pressure up so I guess trimming on the button and on the top corners should solve the problem

yeah the drop down tells you that. i think it'll fit the laramie/bighorn though.

I see rebel in the list on eBay but I thought the rebel had a different grill shape.

You pointed out the flaws but it looks great aside from the flaws. You have the textured upper grill piece, in the pictures it looks like a good match. Is it as good in person? The shade of black.

It looks much better than the Rebel grill, but no way would I run it with that sloppy fit. Not a fan of those lights in the grill.
