I usually don't do my own service but I know there is a "diesel tax" associated with owning an ED so I figured I'd give it a shot.

I used Motormaster 5W40 which meats API SN Plus and meets MS12991 standards. I got it on sale at Canadian Tire for $24.99 for 5 litres (I bought two). It's made by shell and from my research it's pretty much rebranded Pennzoil. I got my oil filter from Peel Chrysler for $66 plus tax, so all in I was about $130CDN for supplies. I decided to put a fumoto and used the one WXman recommended (F106S) for $44 CDN on Amazon.
The oil change was pretty straight forward, I took my time and raised the truck to Offroad 2 for more clearance (air suspension win). I let it drain for about 30 minutes. The filter was a bit of a pain to get off as I didn't have a socket big enough so I had to use an adjustable wrench but it wasn't too bad.
Overall a pretty easy job. With the fumoto it will be much neater next time and I think that Motormaster oil is a bargain. Just thought I'd share for my Canadian brothers because we are sure to get hosed at the dealers here.
