Ditto... how do you get into the back of the console? I tried pulling things off but it wasn't budging. Thanks

Take the top trim piece off by the cup holders, 6 screws, rip it off.

(Pict. 1) Pop the top trim off, 5 clips using a plastic pry tool. (Pict. 2)Then there are 2 bolt/screws to undo. (Pict. 3) The whole back of the console pulls off (start pulling out from the bottom) working your way up. (Pict. 4) USB ports installed. Bingo, you're there & once you do it, it is so easy!

where did you hook the wires? or were there wires already there?
I ran 1 wire up to the fuse panel under the steering column. Fuse # 66 (1st Picture) is for KEY ON POWER which is what I wanted. The wire tucked in under the center console to the rear. At the rear I used 2 wago connectors (2nd Picture), 1 for the hot & 1 for the ground (ground was ring terminal screwed to the right side of the console base). The extra slots available for future lights, etc so I won't have to run anymore hot to the fuse panel or for grounds. The back part of the console has a 2 prong connector (3rd Picture) for removing to do any future projects. Hope this helps you out, let me know if you have anything else. This was the easy hook up, I haven't tackled the tough stuff yet!

Would love to know how you did this, what parts did you buy?
Did this mod today. Sorry no video, but here are some pictures. Made the decision to place the ports here instead of near the window up/down button due to the type of trim (2020 Rebel with faux leather trim)

Here is the link to the parts I used:
USB: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CVMDJRP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Hole saw: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0052EDJ3O/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s03?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Wire cutters: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KY9W2YR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Bought electrical wire and splices at local auto store.

I ordered a 12v that has a cigarette adapter and 2 USB ports. Just going to tap into the fuse panel under the dash and run a wire back. I have zero desire to have the back ports media capable, I juts want charging options for back seat passengers. I have a stand alone inverter I can use if the need for 120v ever comes up.

Now I just need to find my motivation to put it in.
is your 12 volt cig lighter like this one?? I plan to wire it to fuse box or under dash box if possible. this cig lighter has a circuit breaker...do I still need to add an inline fuse to battery or can I just tap into fuse box?????

If you use a fuse tap at the fuse panel under the dash you will already be including the fuse.

I have done this with a different method and has been working great since I did it over a month ago. I was going to do a short video to show what I did and I may still of i still get some free time. In the mean time what I did was just tapped into the power for the USB that is inside the center console. I believe it is a yellow wire. I used an inline fuse just in case. I then attached the ground wire to the rear right side bolt on drivers seat. It was much simpler than running wires all the way to front and to fuse block and I have had no issues. If you plan on adding other things etc lighting in rear, than I understand running a wire to fuse block may be more feasible but just to have USB ports this was easy solution for me

Okay, here's what I have, yep, just ripped it apart to get the picture. The bolt is on the right side bottom, I'm not sure if it was there or if I shot it in there, but that's how I'm grounding out for the rear of the console. Hope this helps you finish up your project.
