I would say that’s a great dealer discount (16.9%) before rebates or financing.

Dealer discount seems great.
Is the added ~$3k in you finance total interest? If yes I think that’s good. If not and they are removing the $3k rebate & adding some fees I’d skip Chrysler financing, take the $3k rebate, and use a local bank or credit union for the loan.
You should be able to get similar rate and I like being able to go to a bank if needed.

0% option seems to cost you $3,188.
2.29 option seems to cost you $3,575 + loan interest.

you’d be better off at $50,188 and your own loan at 2.29 ish At 72m.
Interest would be $3,500 ish so your truck cost at end of loan is ~$54k.
Or do the 0% for 72 since it’s similar cost at end of loan (no interest).

Thanks for the input Paultg.

To answer your question, using the amortization calculations the end numbers with TTL + total loan interest are as follows:

$53,763 for 72 mos @ 2.29% at Navy Federal CU (GAP brings final total to $54,063)

All TTL included as well, Chrysler Capitals 0% for 72 mos brings the final total $53,375 (USAA GAP avail for $270 = total of $53,645

Roughly a $420 difference in price between Chrysler financing and my own at NFCU. I hope all my numbers are making sense! The only additional cost is the out of pocket $650 delivery fee from GA to Texas. I'm going to push for them to meet me halfway on that charge.

That looks really good compared to the offers I've had for Rebels with similar options.

Yeah I think you are doing well either way.
I would do the 0% for 72 because it’s cheaper.
Also, on the gap insurance from the bank / loan company, Call your auto insurance company and ask about adding it to the policy. It will probably be way cheaper. - Paul G

Check out this article from USA TODAY:

Dealers warn buyers: Get your new car before they're gone, supply vanishing

Maybe so but all that translates to is “pay higher prices”.
Likely be a lot more guys waiting to buy if that’s true, unless you need it NOW, you can afford to wait. Not many people “have gotta’ have it now”.

This was the 2019 I was considering but things fell apart this morning. I felt like the dealer is jerking me around.

- My initial offer was $43,500 with dealer fees & 0% for 72m. tax & reg by me.
- When we first spoke they said the -$4k Chrysler cash goes away if I take the finance deal. They said there might be additional rebate money though for a traditional Chrysler loan. I told them to look into it and call me back.
We spoke this AM twice and ultimately there is no way to purchase this truck at the advertised internet price. So frustrating.

They told me they would discount the truck -$7455 off MSRP with a 1.9% for 72m Chrysler loan.
I asked if I don’t do financing what’s the price and they said add +$500.
It’s on their freaking website discounted -$9800...

I said I was all set and would open up my search for something closer to what I want. I said I’d buy a 2020 Laramie Level 1 for the kind of money they want on this 2019. O well. - Paul G

Update on my vehicle offer......

Classic dealership antics, the advertised "NEW" 2020 RAM Rebel is actually a demo vehicle the dealerships owners son cruised around in for 8,500 miles. This was mentioned once paperwork process began.

Needless to say, I'm backing off this move due to less then forthcoming dealings with that location.

Ha. Dealers only make money if they have cars & trucks to sell.
Instead of warning us to buy soon before “all the stuff is gone” they should probably be begging the manf. & plants to start making more vehicles.

I understand dealerships have less than desirable methods for making sales, but this can't logically seem like a great way to do business!

Sorry you are experiencing the same level of idiocy Paul. I'm more content with waiting until Monday to see what June has to offer.

Thats complete and utter crap from them. I can only imagine what the average non-owner would do with a Rebel that “dad owns”...
Really sucks when you have to go ask if new means new...

Is getting the invoice price good or should you try to get them below the invoice price?

Thanks but no it is not. I'm up in NH so I'm looking for Crew Cab , 5'7" bed, 5.7L, 4x4, but it has to have heated seats & wheel:
- Big Horn Lv2 package & LED light package
- Laramie Lv1 package also OK.
- Trailer brake would be nice on either, but don't need the entire tow package
- Also like the bed package with liner, lamps, and something else. But could do that on my own if needed.

Does anyone know what kind of incentives FCA is offering for June???

I DON'T NEED truck but I want one. I never had luck with my Jeeps always leaked and FCA bought 3 of them back. My last custom ordered jeep was 1999 and they bought it back same year. Since then I never own Jeep, Dodge or any of their product. I am hoping my fears are almost gone after 21 years.

Ok, just took a shot at it. If Koonz can’t help you, see if this place can.
