Just to update this again. I don't believe the vibration is gone and it really felt awful today on the road. Not sure why it came back so strong after being at the dealer for 3 weeks. Every speed felt wobbly. Even on smooth roads. Today was also much hotter than the last few days and the truck for the first time sat out in a parking lot for hours in the heat. The last few days since I got the truck back it was just sitting in my garage when I wasn't driving.

I'm trying to explain what I'm feeling with the truck on here to see if anyone is having the same feel on the road. On the interstate during high traffic hours I had to speed up and slow down often. It almost feels like during acceleration the vibration would move from right under the rear door behind me to the back wheels of the truck, and the vibration would stay at the back of the truck until I slowed back down. Also, the truck refuses to downshift out of 4th when coasting down the interstate. It's like it gets stuck at the base of 4th gear and struggles to even want to downshift(which it doesn't). This causes the truck to almost feel like it's engine breaking but not fully slowing down because it's still in 4th and won't downshift. This almost makes the truck ride worse because the base of that 4th gear makes the truck stall and bog down pretty rough since it bounces off of that gear almost.

The shaking(wobbling) continues to be persistent at all speeds for the most part. Turning into more of a full on vibration from the rear at 55-60mph +.

I am hoping someone who also has this issue gets a rep that can solve this problem. I really don't want to leave my truck at a dealership for another 3 to 4 weeks and I feel like I have exhausted my options except for just working with my dealership out of town that I purchased it from and seeing what they can do for me at this point.

are you getting a new vehicle, I thought they offered 8K$ and to keep the truck?
10k..still have the truck...just watching the treads and hoping to see a root cause, replaced the warped wheel but didnt correct the issue..unfortunately I'm thinking it may be torque converter related.

Im having the same vibration, my issue list just keeps on growing!. this RAM truck is the biggest piece of junk i have ever owned. I am also in a lemon law suit with FCA and they are dragging their feet on purpose.. Here is my top 15 for my 6th dealer visit tomorrow, but the list is much longer.

  1. Vehicle, and seat have lateral vibration at 45-65 (already had tires balanced 4 times) torque converter? warped wheel?
  2. Possible warped new rotor when braking and light right input on steering, wheel shakes, Please test rotor run out
  3. Still having braking drift after replacing rotors TSB? Please check wheel alignment as well with print out
  4. Active tune mass module unavailable warning light comes on intermittently
  5. Check for latest TCM and ECM software updates still having shifting issues. After TCM flash truck still shifts incorrectly in the mornings, on quick stop and goes, bogs starts in 2nd then shifts to 1st back to 2nd TSB #18-023-16? Truck lurches forward going from park to drive when cold as soon as starting
  6. Air from vents on recirculation turns off then on automatically every 15 min or so. when air kicks off recirculation light stayed on
  7. Radio freezes intermittently but consistently. (back up camera still green screen, i have pic and vid)
  8. After starting truck, radio starts then crashes, forcing auto restart intermittently Tsb #08-028-16 ? Previous dealers have already replaced 2 cameras and updated software.
  9. Steering wheel (inside horn/airbag or column has loose parts noise on semi rough road. Radio 5.5 in display has no treble control on radio
  10. Changing rotary shifter from reverse to drive is abrupt. engine died twice on 3 point turn (safety concern)
  11. Tailgate will not unlatch and binds intermittently after Boulder dealer tried to adjust for poor body alignment
  12. Ac cooling insufficient tsb for software?
  13. Rear brakes make moaning noise in the morning when slowly moving in reverse must do its cold first thing in the morning TSB
  14. loud, lose and clicking noise under middle of vehicle on start up
  15. Body noise when turning on uneven surfaces. Tsb #23-013-19?

Wow, a very sad situation. I have a lot of problems with my truck. Now I am searching the noise behind the steering wheel or column the same as you describe at point number 9. Sound like a losse part. Please can you help me.

I have no idea yet whats loose. Its a safety concern due to steering wheel air bag. FCA has been 0 help with all my other defective item complaints and are dragging me through litigation while im trying to get my money back. I have lost all confidence in this RAM and FCA since its riddled with defective items.

They changed rack and pinion, upper and lower steering shafts, steering knuckle to fix mine.

I really don't want to leave my truck at a dealership for another 3 to 4 weeks and I feel like I have exhausted my options except for just working with my dealership out of town that I purchased it from and seeing what they can do for me at this poin

You're not crazy and not alone. I can sympathize with you 100%. I've got a long post under slight vibration. I'm at the end of the rope on this. I've done allowed my dealer to throw about $5,000.00 in parts at it. I've thrown $6,500.00 at it with wheels, tires, and lift... thinking that was going to fix it. Dealership refuses to touch it anymore. Tried 4 different sets of wheels with 3 different sizes and 5 different sets of tires along with 4 different brands. I personally think it's an engineering flaw where the yoke of the transmission meets the driveshaft. I've found movement there because it's a floating joint with no support. I've personally gone under the truck and check U-joints, shafts, driveshaft, etc. U-joints are tight, driveshaft has zero play. I used to work on gas turbines and performed vibration analysis on Gen set's. Almost certain this is where the problem is. No one has found a fix and have changed every part that would typically cause this, nothing works. Filed a claim with FCA this week. Truck has 5,700 miles on it. FCA needs to figure this **** out quick or I'm going to get an attorney to resolve it.

Just as an update the truck is now at a different dealer being looked at. This one already was leaps and bounds ahead of the other dealer. It makes sense why they received a customer satisfaction award. The guy I had assigned to me has different accolades and actually took the time to drive the truck for a bit with me. While driving he even acknowledged the rear end shake and knew they would have to look at any plausible cause.
I'm just glad he didnt pretend to not feel it and state that it was normal.

They will also be looking into the rear door wind noise as he did acknowledge that he and his service manager are trying different fixes on the managers ram.

He will look into fit and finish issues with my truck as well with door and bumper alignment.

And they followed up with getting me a loaner vehicle at no charge. So at this point it's a waiting game but I'm glad this dealer will at least take the time to look into everything. The other dealer would call me after a few hours and say there were no issues and that my truck was ready for pickup.
That is awesome. I am having the same issue. My dealer started off great and it went downhill from there. They had the truck for almost a week before we were to go on vacation - said it was U Joints - told me they were replacing both of them - only replaced one - cracked that one on instalation - and then they put an after market part in and the shaking is 10 times worse. They will not return my calls or emails - no one from the servcie agent, service manager, general manager, even the president of operations. Randomly they returned my deductible - at least I think that is what it was from as there was no explanation on the check and they refuse to call me back. I just want to know what the resolution has been to this issue. I have a 2015 Ram 1500 Laramie with 84k eco diesel

Twice, they are not great of course. They say they can't replicate the issue but I'm not surprised as they probably drive the car for 20 seconds. and are hoping there isn't an issue so they don't have to deal with it. I tried another dealer as well but they won't answer the phone and when I left a message for a rep the department never got back to me. I called that service department 3 times.

With the dealer I went to I even had them ride with me and they stated they would just balance the tires and I honestly don't know if they really did. I don't trust the service department and I hate that I feel that way.

I'm almost inclined to take my truck to a trusted shop and have them see if they can find the issue for me without messing with the truck to void a warranty. If they can maybe help me gauge the issue I could just take it to the dealer at that point and let them know what needs to be done. I'm not sure if that would work in my favor so if anyone has any input on that just let me know.
I haven’t read to the bottom yet but I’m having the exact problem with my 21 Limited, I’m on my second dealership. I hope there’s a fix at the bottom of the thread.

Is this noise when you turn right at slow speeds, if so it’s the EBS trust me I know

Here's a little different angle on the wobble. I've been behind vehicles, usually pickups, that I've noticed have obvious bent wheel, tire squirm, etc. and the drivers seemed oblivious to shaking and bouncing around that was obvious to me. So might I suggest that a different point of view could be useful. Maybe try to arrange for someone mechanically inclined to follow you around for a bit and see what can be observed.

Also notice some vibration but it is mainly on washboard gravel roads where the frequency hits just right. Almost feels like the bed is loose.
