My '19 had to have a software update outlined in an TSB to increase the power output of the stock amp because the system sounded so weak from the factory. After the update it was night and day difference, but I would be surprised if they didn't get it figured out by the 22 MY...
Welp, add me to this poor club now. Beautiful leather dash has a bubble in it at 35K miles. I have already had the whole steering rack replaced and the front USB hub doesn't work, so I was wondering which of the common issues was next. At least my roof/rear window isn't leaking...yet.
Since you brought it up about the 300...I really, really miss my 300 SRT8. Definitely a car I wish I held on to. Didn't know it would be so rare now when I bought it brand new in 2012...
Oh dang, never even occurred to me that it wouldn't be an option. I never even thought about having chains until that recent ice storm. I mean, parked cars were sliding down hills! I could literally not leave my house for 2 days. I'm going to just get a studded tire set next year.
Sorry! Meant Ridge Grapplers are horrible. I just saw Grapplers and missed the "Recon" part. I believe the Recon's are much better in the rain than the Ridge Grapplers :)
Yeah mine had much more than 500 miles on them and they were still terrible on wet roads. Putting on the Falkens was night and day difference. I have Nitto Invo's on my Lightning and they are fantastic, but I don't drive that in the rain. On dry roads, Nitto are awesome. On wet, not so much.
I have the Falken Wildpeak AT3's in stock size and love them. But wish I got 305/45/22 for that little bit more width which the Falken's don't come in, so will probably look at the Toyo's next.
I think I checked them and of course don't list 285/45/22. The best I can do is find a 20" size that's close in same overall diameter. I may just find an 18" wheel and stud package instead...
I have great tires that work great in snow. What happened was an ICE storm and no tire is going to save you unless it has studs or you have chains. Watch the videos of Seattle ice storm a few weeks back. It was insane.
BUMP! We had a massive ice storm here a few weeks ago and anyone that didn't have studded tires or chains was completely stranded for a couple of days. My questions is what brand have you guys found that fit over the stock 22's?
I had those tires for about a week before I ditched them. Absolutely HORRIBLE in the rain. I sold my entire wheelset because the Ridge Grapplers suck so bad and just put the stock wheels back on and also just got Falken Wildpeak AT3's and couldn't be happier. I thought the Geolanders that were...
From everything I have also seen/heard, of those three the Toyo ATIII's are definitely top of the pack. However, I just put Falken AT3's on my Limited (kept the 285/45/22 size) and absolutely love them.
Right! It's SO ****ing stupid that the truck sits raked on air ride. The whole "point" of the rake is for trucks with coil springs to absorb more weight before hitting the bumpstop. If the damn thing has air ride that self-levels, there is ZERO reason for the rake. Manufacturers seem to think...
