Any reason they couldn't design a second rear camera flush with the top of the tailgate that would come on when the tailgate is down? So you would have something when backing with the tailgate lowered?
I tend to be a turn and look over my shoulder backer but I use the backup camera at times.

What is the benefit to the dealership to deny coverage? Are they not reimbursed at the same rate as what a customer would pay for the repair? I can understand Stellantis trying to deny warranty work but never understood why a dealership would care one way or the other.
I love our truck but getting groceries is one of the last things I'd do with it. It's just way more convenient to jump in my 2013 Mazda 3 Hatchback for jobs like that. The majority of the time we're using the truck it's for hauling, towing, or a long trip.

I read an article that stated the Ram 1500 lost about 43% of its value in five years. I assume these studies are based off of the original MSRP, though I don't know if the five year value is based on trade-in value or private party value.
