Not new to the forum, but with a new truck!
Traded my ‘20 Limited for a ‘25 Rebel X in forged metallic blue. Mods have been Mopar power steps and a bunch of racks for hauling toys. Love the truck so far!
I just traded my (2020) Limited for a 25 Rebel. Limited was awesome but the air suspension really limits the lift/level options and I wanted a truck I felt more comfortable taking off the highway. Also grew tired of the 22” wheels.
How does it drive? Any big changes from the weight of the tire?
I have Toyos in the 305/45r22 size, which have been great for the past couple years but really feeling the itch of wanting more sidewall.
Just what several companies told me 🤷♂️ I live in hail storm country too, so PDR is pretty common around here. But perhaps my language could be more clear: hiding structural damage to a safety mechanism with a cosmetic repair (PDR or filler plus paint) is something these companies would not do...
My PDR guy refused to fix a bumper dent due to it being steel and I think laws preventing cosmetic repair of a safety mechanism like a bumper. I took it to two shops and got the same answer. Ended up buying a new bumper unfortunately.
My leveled ram with air suspension developed a front end clunk that I would hear at lower speeds over uneven pavement or speed bumps. My front sway bar had loosened. After securing all those bolts, clunk went away.
Ride comfort with the ReadyLift kit is pretty unchanged to me. I haven’t ridden in a stock Limited since I did mine, so I don’t have side-by-side comparison, but I certainly didn’t say to myself that the ride went to $hit when I got the kit installed.
I have no knowledge or advice regarding...
If your primary purpose for adding the links is to aid towing, I don’t know that it would make that big of a difference since the truck is going to auto-level with the air suspension on its own when weight is added.
I’m not totally sure the answer to this. A longer link will raise the rear but lower the front, so it depends on how much adjustable range the Shifts and Grins links have.
I only used a longer link on the rear to raise it. The front has the ReadyLift spacer kit, but stock links.
My OEM Limited 22” Night Edition wheels are what I would describe as “charcoal grey” not black. The Mopar touch up paint pen is “PNW Black Noise”
I believe the Laramie night edition is more a true black.
