  • Hello Gremlin, Did your 2021 Ram get diagnosed? My 2019 Rebel recently started the "ticking noise" passenger side of engine. This noise is loudest when started cold mornings, then calms down while engine is warming in about 20-30 seconds. I use Premium Fuel only $$$! and Royal Purple 5-20. I have only 44K on the engine. You can send me an email to [email protected] I can send a video. Thank You Rondo 13

My 2016 Ram 1500 did the same thing and it was an exhaust leak. When the gasket is cold it does not have a good seal and when it warms up after a bit, it seals back up.

It was the donut gasket where the exhaust manifold and exhaust pipe join.

The one between the manifold and the exhaust. I would not think this is covered under powertrain but I had about 130k miles on mine at the time so I did not bother asking.
