2025 Ram 1500 RHO Appears at Detroit 4Fest
New Ram Off-Roader Will Arrive At Dealers This Quarter...
The 2025 Ram 1500 RHO made a notable appearance at the Detroit 4Fest, offering off-road enthusiasts a closer look before it officially arrives in dealerships later this quarter. While not its first public showing, this event allowed fans to experience the RHO’s rugged design and advanced technology firsthand.
Powered by the twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter HURRICANE High-Output (H/O) I6 engine, the RHO delivers 540 horsepower and 521 lb.-ft. of torque, setting a new standard for off-road trucks. Its horsepower-to-dollar ratio of $129.60 per HP stands as the best value in the light-duty off-road segment. The Hurricane H/O engine is a twin-turbocharged powerhouse designed for enhanced fuel economy and reduced emissions, all while outperforming other V8 and boosted six-cylinder engines in its class.
At Detroit 4Fest, attendees could see the RHO’s Bilstein BlackHawk e2™ adaptive performance shocks in action, which are fine-tuned for both on-road handling and off-road excellence. These shocks work alongside Ram’s proprietary Active Terrain Dynamics suspension system to provide a smooth ride, increased body roll control, and improved handling over various terrains. With rear axle travel of up to 14 inches and over 40% more rear wheel travel compared to the rest of the Ram 1500 lineup, the RHO is engineered to tackle challenging landscapes while maintaining full bed capacity.
The RHO’s ground clearance of 11.8 inches, achieved through a 2-inch ride height boost and 35-inch tires, ensures it can easily clear obstacles, even at high speeds. The five-link coil system and active damping further enhance comfort, making it as capable on highways as it is on rough trails
Inside, the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO blends luxury with technology. Premium materials like hand-wrapped leather instrument panels are available, adding unexpected sophistication to its rugged character. The cabin has over 50 inches of available digital display screens, including an optional reconfigurable 14.5-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen, a class-exclusive 10.25-inch passenger screen, and dual wireless charging pads. The available full-color 10-inch Head-Up Display (HUD) further enhances the driver’s experience, projecting critical information like speed and navigation in their line of sight.
As the Ram 1500 RHO gears up for its dealership launch later this quarter, its appearance at Detroit 4Fest gave off-road enthusiasts a taste of its impressive capabilities. With U.S. pricing starting at $69,995 and availability this year, the RHO is set to raise the bar in the light-duty off-road truck segment and directly take on the Ford F-150 Raptor.
